Is there a planned update for the beta?

No there will be no update as one of developers said.
They want to focus on final product.
BTW do you know any information about date of final release?

The final release is in 2017. Thats all we get for now, maybe next video update will cover that. They just got a publisher so things should move along now and maybe we will get more feedback and details on what exactly is going on.

There are no Beta updates planned anymore, we want to focus on the final release to finish the game earlier. 
It would be nice to fix the “save game” issue. What is the point if in the middle of a game the entire game will crash on any of the save points? It would not be so bad if just the last save point was corrupted, but the entire game? Starting all over again gets old, especially when the problem will reoccur.
Yeah it sucks but one way to look at it is: You could have a perfect beta and it works perfectly, allowing you to play how you want. But this also allows you to play the shit out of it and possibly burn yourself out on the gameplay before the real game comes out.
This way maybe it will cause you to take a break because honestly, we have quite awhile before the final game comes out. Sorry if that didn’t make sense lol. It was more a point of view proposal.
