Blocking in this game

hey,

from what i have seen the combat system looks very cool,
But will there be directional blocking???
personally i am a great mount and blade fan and i love there combat system
I have seen some toppics suggesting that blocking will mostly be about timing…
But in the video they told me that you could switch attack direction (got to love fient) to confuse ur opponent this would suggest some directional blocking right…

does anyone know what the blocking system in this game will be???

Why no directional blocking?

From what i have seen from videos, while combat people are doing the same reactions, same animations. It is boring as hell. Make it directional blocking, make it hardcore. Make the footwork really important. And if you got slashed by a sword while wearing no armor you bleed, you cannot walk if your opponent cut your leg and you die. And lastly nobody waits when you fight 1v2, you have to deal with those two at the same time. C'mon guys don't waste such a good game. I am a Mount and Blade playe…

It seems strange to me that one button will block everything and to make right counterattack or the best block possible you have to wait and do nothing and start to block at the time you are almost getting hit.
