Game Launcher will not start!

So, i bought this game game today and have downloaded the launcher multiple times, and the launcher will simply not start up. am i missing something here? i bought the game, downloaded the launcher, which was about 1.4mb in size and it simply does not start up. Please help, i do not want to waste $50.
