keep em coming, I love these pictures. The houses for peasants and clothing seem quite good compared to what Monthy Python would have you believe.

Here is another silver mining illustration from Kutna Hora, Bohemia. Mining, smelting, refining, logistics, minting and trade can be seen. Late 15th century.
BTW looks like some people really preferred not to have pants, but wear high shoes instead. To be fair it seems that it’s mostly people working near the blazing furnaces.

Among the artists, who were already alive when this game is set to begin, Jan van Eyck must have been the most skillful one. The sheer amount of fine details in his paintings is absolute amazing as you can see at the Ghent Altarpiece (1432):

MUCH has changed in this time because in fact around 1500 the medieval changed to the Renaissance period. Many pictures that are shown here (especially the ones with peasants and Bruegel’s) are in fact renaissance pictures. Many people throw Renaissance and Medieval in one pot but there are so many differences in fashion, architecture, lifestyle, thinking, culture and art style that I can hardly see them as so similar.

But awesome collection, nevertheless :]
Here is some more:

1400, bohemian pattern book

1413 The kights templar burned (Boucicaut Master)

1435 St George Killing the Dragon Bernat Martorell … @warhorse : I want to see some cool hats in game

Another cool hat (1400, Tacuinum Sanitatis)

And this fabulous guy from the same collection
