Inventory and item placement feel

I really hated how Bethesda games handle inventory. When dragging something from the character to chest or to workbench, it really reminds me that the items are just a line of code to be rewritten. It is not even convenient, you just scroll a long list and never can find what you, your companion and the lockers around have.

How can Kingdom Come mitigate that? Show hands holding an item moving it? When opening a chest or a comode, show things lined inside and not just a scroll of text?

How to make it convenient? When something is nearby, automatically reach it if you are about to do some crafting?

Discuss.

There already is a thread, please do everyone a favor and look before you start a topic.

They talk more about the size of an inventory, I wanted to tackle a different angle.

Mh, old fred is dug up again… (to dig - dug - dug? Digedag?!. .Darnit…)

Dee brought up an interesting topic, I think. And a question that might be answerable by now…
“How is your ‘loot’ shown on screen - not quite in your inventory yet - when opening a chest or plundering a fallen enemy… ?”

It would be nice to see the actual stuff lying in the chest, as well as finding only stuff in it, that fits into the chest as well. For example, in Bioshock 3, I was disappointed straight from the beginning, that some details are faintly visible but generously complex, while others are merely… mh… yeah a thin “layer” and is seen almost everywhere. The vegetables at most market stand for example. Even if there were collectible apples lying around, the near basket of (assumingly) apples looked, like just an apple-like sheet was put on its top. All flat and… … disappointing in detail…

I guess those were one of the downsides that were taken according performance discussions… So, back to apparent topic:

How are items displayed that are (or are not) about to be taken into your inventory, when picked up from a chest/dead body, etc… ?

I would love a stack of apples to be actual stack of apples. Would it be possible to process?
