Which makes me question Warhorse; what’s with these Acts? Wouldn’t it be simpler to make the full game and not ‘‘DLC’’ it?
Which is basically the second to only reason I personally backed this project (First being it’s medieval and historical, and there’s only one or two games out there with this genre but didn’t do very well with it) as many other people probably backed this game for it’s FIRST PERSON ONLY concept. However, as much as I agree with Cerberus about being backstabbed on Warhorse implementing a 3rd person camera after the Kickstarter was finished, I also agree to it on the fact that some people find all the armor in the game and wear it all to ‘‘showcase/model’’ the clothing and equipment you can have. So personally, I do not agree with the 3rd person camera (except for inventory screen and dialogue) while playing the game. Does this mean I want Warhorse to abandon 3rd person for all? No, but this ties into my complaint about a female character. Give us the OPTION to skip her along with playing in first/3rd person, but don’t remove it entirely as this isn’t our game. It’s Warhorse’s vision that we all give advice on.
i doubt it. but many people will make that claim to support their views and blackmail warhorse into abandoning any attempt at a third person feature. i understand that, it’s self interest and it’s natural.
I think its great to give the OPTION.
I dont get why some people are complaining. You get the option to play it the way you like and since there is no multiplayer, why do you care so much about how others play this game?

We called that datadisc when I was younger 
I allways took DLC as something like “new character skin and new multiplayer map” and Im sure that is not the case.
Anyway, they wrote (well, Dan did) in their devblog. They wated to make it as one three act game. I believe one publisher suggested they should separate it to three but they didnt want to by that time, though they did before Kistarter eventualy. And personaly, Im happy for it. If the act will have cca 30 hours, with new game mechanics, then it is quite a work for new studio (well, not only for new). If the later acts add 10 hours, new map and something (ringen or tournamets MP or polearms… etc), Im satifated.
How many times can this thread be revived?
Haven’t we already got our answer from the development team or is there still some consideration being made? @Hellboy @TobiTobsen.

Like many other people here, I wouldn’t have a problem with a 3rd person camera option. It would be really nice for screenshots, or just checking how your character looks in a new set of armor. I’d still play the game in first person most of the time though.

and btw why can’t they enable 3rd ingame for players that have Motion Sickness or like me love to see my char in nice Armor sometimes… i play FP games alot but i need to change the game sometimes because i do not get the same feelings when i get something new in game like 3rdP (armors etc) anyways this game are made for FP but as i say Cryeng are both FirstP and 3rdP soo there are allways a modder out there that will make a 3rd mod (mirror’s edge AMD Crysis have 3rd mods and manny more).if u are on console they can make a free DLC or something like that Cheer

You mean like the whining you did. Your only argument against third was “it will take away from first person” Even though warhorse said it will not. But i guess you know more about this than them.

If someone wants a 1st PV game that same person just buys a 1st PV game.
If someone wants a 3rd PV game that same person just buys a 3rd PV game.
One doesn’t have to be granted with an IQ of 150 to figure that out.
Complaining afterwards is a bit silly because said person knew exactly what it was buying.

Because apparently we have gotten nowhere other then this should have no 3rd person camera EXCEPT for dialogue and inventory screens because that was the original game. However, more than enough people were able to change the game so before you play the game it’ll ask if you want 1st person or 3rd person, which for those who pledged and whined for 3rd person on a HISTORICAL AND REALISTIC game got.
I still stand as I was before. I do not like 3rd person other then for the dialogue and inventory screen. However, I will not stand against it for others as some kind people go through the game to find every piece of armor in it and showcase it so we can go find the pieces ourselves without much effort.

that argument makes about as much sense as saying the fact that there is no perma death somehow violates "historical and realistic"aspect of the game.
oh and there will be plenty of moments where you’re taken out of 1st person in this game. insert bold letters “historical and realistic” here
i like how this thread is basically one strawman after another and no one addresses directly, vavra’s points even when folks keep bringing the discussion back to it. does anyone actually have an argument that directly challenges what vavra has said? the only argument that does that seems to be an implication that vavra is lying. ad hominem basically.

You more than stated your opinion you were borderline throwing a tantrum.
If the devs of the game are willing to add it in why do you have a problem with it. They stated several times it will not take away from your first person experience in anyway. You will not be forced into playing third. But now that you and a small portion of the community got their way everyone will be forced into playing in first.
We all cant be as smart as you.

Yep your complaining was the reason 80+ percent of the community will now be forced into playing first person. You had no legitimate reason against it. All of your arguments were proven false by the devs but congrats you won anyway.

If you’re referring to my comment above, I have said on a few occasions that I do not want to play in 3rd person.

Warhorse SHOULD put a 3rd person option for those who want it. It is an OPTION. Not forced on us who want 1st person (as 1st person shouldn’t be forced on those who want 3rd person). Just like there should be the OPTION to skip the female character’s part in the game.
I do not want to play in 3rd person or play the female character. HOWEVER this doesn’t mean I am against them being OPTIONS for those who want to play the female and in 3rd person.
I personally will not play the female character’s part in the game or in 3rd person. They should, once again, be OPTIONS, not forced. A game is meant to be PLAYED YOUR WAY and for FUN. Being forced to play something you don’t want is not what you bought the game for.
Yep…no reiterations necessary, However I will add or ask rather would you care if WH adds a third person option without calling it a stretch goal?
I mean is anyone really gonna be butt hurt if lets say the final release happens to have TPV option that wasn’t previously announced?
