Track IR & Oculus Rift

I play a lot of ArmA 3 (and ArmA 2 before that) with a head tracking device called Track IR 5 Pro Clip, which attaches to my headset and allows me to look around in the game with my head, while my mouse is used to orient my character’s body. This significantly improves the immersion factor in the game, among other benefits.

Will Track IR or some other virtual reality head tracking device, such as Oculus Rift, be compatible as an extended controller for playing Kingdom Come? If it is not definite yet, is it something that is at least being considered?

Oculus Rift is limited and will probably not last long in the market. It is already finding it difficult to replace the resources it requires to produce the headset making the headsets that are already produced and purchased the only ones left currently, I’m sure they will be able to get more only I doubt that their production queue will be significant enough to sustain it’s own market. FYI this was in recent news and I don’t have time to find it I suggest you look if you want to know more.

I don’t see why devices like OR for virtual immersion aren’t a viable option however and I know Sony are developing their own. As this game will be on the PS4 I would love to see the Sony VR headset used instead of the OR headset as Sony are not likely to run out of parts. I also do not see why the Sony VR headset can not be used on the PC for this game or any other for that matter.

Rather see the something that uses Avegant retina projection tech. Traditional VR sets are unpleasant.

I want Oculus Rift for KCD, with OR will be have a lot of realism!

First: Warhorse said maaaaybe the Oculus Rift will be supported… but rather not… which makes me kind of a sad panda.

About the VR market:
As I see it the biggest drawback of all those devices is the price. The price will decide if VR will be a thing in the future. Late last year the information was that Sony plans to sell their HMZ-T3W for about $2000 while the Oculus Rift will be between $300 and $500. Microsoft hasn’t declare it’s intention to take a slice of the cake yet, but they are doing research as well - that’s for sure.
If Sony and MS plan to run their devices in the same league as the OR, namely focused on gaming, they’ll have the advantage of being able to enforce their proprietary device on their respective following. The OR on the other hand already has an active home-brew scene and has the potential to be the device that is independent from the image source, but at the moment Software has to be adapted to be used with the OR.

My wild guess is that all depends on whether there will be a common VR interface in the future that is shared by Nvidia, AMD, Sony, Microsoft and the Oculus Rift.

If KCD don’t will be supported Oculus will be lost a lot of players… this is not a opinion is a reality

Oculus is being discussed countless times also.

Therefore I am closing this topic.
