What armor are you interested in?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to wear a jacket over a breast plate? To prevent it from getting all rusty and wet and such.

If it’s possible in this game I want to try to make an archer character with a mail shirt under an inconspicuous doublet or gambeson.

It’s just boiled leather, I would believe this would be used quite frequently. And not really period specific.

I guess you could combine it, with various metal armour for pretty good effect. Different Couloured leather plates aswell for some sweet aestethics, with some strategically placed metal plate and/or maille for later time periodes for the poorer knight.

It would be cool to have armor like the Knights Templar or armor that fits under that sort of catigory.

What makes you believe that? A gambeson fits the niche of protection for poorer folks just as well and doesn’t require you to kill an animal for leather.

Well I think you might be lucky because the trailer shows the Teutonic Knights.

Can’t wait, I don’t know why but I have always just liked the look and feel of Teutonic armor.

so far we’ve seen gambeson worn under breastplate and armor. i wonder if we can cover the breastplate with one of those velvety things(forgot what it’s called) or wear a tabard over it.

I’m interested in seeing a variety. I would like to see more than one kind of plate armour eg not just Gothic, but also the Italian armors. So long as they make sense in the historical setting.

Half armor, variety of light armors (cloth, scale, leather, chain), old left overs from prior periods and of various conditions eg Rusted or well cared for.
Would be nice to see if Peasants ever cobbled stuff for make shift armor.

gothic armor wasn’t available at the time of the game’s setting so it won’t be there anyway.

mail hauberks were used by cumans, usually in conjunction with mirror armor and lamellar.

in the west, poor and low equipped soldiers always seem to wear fabric based armor with some plate parts at joints and knees. the latter of which feel they maybe looted from corpses.

I’d like to go full knightly plate mail. Even better would be if I crafted in as a blacksmith.

I bet the armor is going to look incredible and well researched in this game.

Well, I guess I’ll drink like there will be no tomorrow, and everything I’ll have left, will go to buying armor. So… naked, most possibly. With a stick.

i always prefered the stealth approches when possible in a game, light armors that allows smooth moves suit me fine.

Plated mail is something seen in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. I doubt you would find it in 1403 Bohemia, except maybe a cuman?

Naa, I want to show off my nice plates man, you know shine the damn thing in the eyes of my enemies. plus if the leather is underneath i get a nice bit of shock absorption especially if the leather is thick on the chest.

My (silver)plates brings all the knights to the yard,
And they’re like
It’s better than yours,
Damn right it’s better than yours,
I can sell you,
But I have to charge

i think engraved armors are from the late middle age, those technique in metal handcrafing (as the patterns on these armors or helmets) were likely from the 16th century.

lamellar armor for the win! I hope it will be in the game, but it might be hard to get if there are no cuman merchants. :frowning: Clearly we need a joinable cuman faction to solve this problem. Or a option in the charactergeneration^^ to be a cuman.

But in all seriousness now it be awsome if there was a way to get lamellar armor ingame.
