Hello Warhorse,

Since i’m so impatient to get that alpha access to the game even if it includes only walkin over grass, i’d just like to ask something. Once it’s out, is it gonna stay there until beta is out and gonna include more and more content with some weekly/monthtly updates, or it’s gonna be available for some certain amount of time and then pfff - gone ?

why does it matter? for what reason would you keep playing the alpha and not update to beta once it arrives?

i’m pretty sure he is asking if it will stay open until the beta comes out, not after the beta.

They said that they will be constantly updating the Alpha with new features as they progress through the development, so I’m sure it will stay open for quite a while. I have a feeling they’ll probably keep the Alpha going until a month or two before they get the Beta going, but I’m really just spit-balling here, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Since it is a single player game (at least the early stages/acts) I would guess alpha will be something that people are allowed to play as much as they wish until the game is released.

They really like and mentioned “Star Citizen’s Module and hangar or whatever,” introducing a new method and standard of indie game developing and they said they will be doing something like this.
So it will most likely be like that, as well as Dayz.
Alpha—>new content and patches until considered beta—>tweaks and polishing—>official game
I don’t think it will close.

Yes exactly but they mentioned Alpha to be released in 6 months and usually the Beta is released just before the game is released. I doubt they will give us access to Beta 2 months after the Alpha. More likely to be updated for almost a year before entering the Beta status.

They said that the Alpha access will include updates as quoted from the kickstarter website

We will start with the basic mechanics (interaction with the world, inventory, map, NPC cycles) and we will constantly update this build with new features as we progress with the development (dialogues, bows, hunting, crafting, combat, horses).

Oh boy alpha is at least 6 months away no point in drooling to hard …yet lol.
