So the practice chest at the Rattay mill, are you only allowed to lock pick it so many times a day and then it resets? I was going to grind out my lockpicking to level 10 wiht it, which would of only taken about 30 minutes to do, and after about the 10th lockpick the game wouldn’t let me lockpick it anymore. I don’t want to advance the game a full day to test wiether or not I can lockpick it again. So does anyone know if there is a limit that the game allows you to do, or did my game just glitch out with the chest?

Can’t you just sleep over the whole day and check it the next day, instead of actually going thought it?

Anyway, I wouldn’t be too optimistic about the whole idea. If I recall correctly, you are given 10 lockpicks by the miller. You are allowed to pick the lock 10 times, because you have 10 lockpicks. If you break them all - I doubt he will give you another set. Not in this game.

I’m already past the turtorial, and I don’t break lockpicks. I seen on here that people use this chest to grind out the lockpicking skill really fast. But I don’t know if the game lets you lockpick it so many tmes a day before you can’t anymore and have to wait the next day. Or if you can only do it 10 times, or if my game is just glitched out.

It doesn’t reset after one day, not after 2 days either, I don’t know if it resets eventually, but when I grinded it and went back the next day it was still unlocked.

I did the turtorial and the chest was left open. After a few game days had past I went to check on the chest and it still wouldn’t let me lockpick it. After another game day or two later I checked and I could. But I don’t know if this is becuase the chest reseted or it was just a glitch. As well as I don’t know how many actual game days had passed aswell.

Might be a glitch as I was able to do it around 15-20 times before I got bored but it was still working.

I wouldn’t be suprised if this was a glitched. I should of just bought this game when it was on sale and after a majority of patches came out. Too many problems on the consoles to make this game worth while.

Pretty sure you were only supposed to use it a few times. It doesn’t reset after w weeks in game, you got to go out and rob with some risk. If you’re running out of things to pick use doors. Villages maybe even castle ones reset every day or when the NPCs leave their houses. Those are the only infinitely resetting locks

I’m level 17 lockpicking and to reach that i simply opened every chest I could even if it meant breaking 40 locks on some I didn’t have the right level to do. What also is that in the Rattay mill there is a chest up the laddeer where you can steal lockpicks (20) and groschens (500) and some other stuff. You could do the easy chests lockated in the houses of random vilaggers and possibly do the ones in Talmberg. With level 15 you can pick very hard so I believe if you have like a decent level now you can go over to like easy or hard.

I was able to start on very hard locks at lvl 12

Oh well then, there are certain locks that simply wouldn’t be picked in my game even at very hard (15)

yeah, there must still be some buggy things going on :rofl: I would try lost of the very hard locks even before I got up to the necessary lvl and I remember being able to get through a very difficult door at like lvl 8 lockpick but that being the only exception. Maybe the very hard locks have a range of difficulties inherent to each one?
