In addition to being very useful the benchmarking tool would serve as a nice publicity boost for the game if a lot of hardware sites choose to add it into their benchmarking roster.
Beta already has a fps counter. So, it will certainly be in final game.
Benchmarkink mode/feature is not the same as just enabling the FPS counter. Simply put, it is a pre-recorded segment of gameplay that people can use to compare the performance of their PCs with. Think of it as an in-game “3D Mark”.
Who knows? But i dont think so. They have other things to do and this is first mention of such requested feature afaik…
