Beta 1.0 Launcher Problems

I smashed some relevant things into a google search and came up with some information…

I think that all the installation/uninstallation and failed attempts may have caused something to go haywire, I am gonna make a list of things for you to check/try…

  1. Open a command prompt and run REGEDIT, on the left, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup and make sure that The values SystemSetupInProgress and UpgradeInProgress should be set to 0 (zero) or not exist.

  2. In a command prompt run “sfc /scannow” as outlined here: (this site is for windows 10, which your logs show that you are running) http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2895-sfc-command-run-windows-10-a.html#option3 and if it fails for any reason, there’s several tips on that page on ways to get it to fix any problems it finds.

  3. Check your disk for errors (this site shows instructions for windows 8 and/or 10) http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disk-error-checking-windows-8

  4. I saw some articles about that error and several had to do with Shadow Copies on the drives, that either there were too many and it ate up space, or there wasn’t enough space for creating new shadow copies… I don’t know much about it but if the other stuff doesn’t work you might as well look into it https://www.maketecheasier.com/free-up-drive-space-by-removing-shadow-copies/ NOTE: Don’t do this if you want to keep your system restore points that have been made previously

So, I tried installing the game overnight and it made absolutely no progress.
after reading this thread a bit I decided to restart my PC and download a new installer.
now when i log in to the installer and start the installation progress i almost immediately get an error stating: Failed to start installation subsystem.
what should I do?

Hey there, thanks for all that work you´ve done. But Dr.Fusselpulli just had the Information, that there is something wrong with that launcher. I´ll wait for the fix the guys are just doing.

If that doesn´t work either, i´ll try your Steps.

We are working on this, it is not your fault or the fault of the system, there is a bug in the launcher right now, and we are fixing it :slight_smile:
The best you can do is to wait about the fix which will come today or tomorrow.

Nein, wir haben leider nicht genug Steam-Keys und sind auf den Launcher angewiesen. Es ist ärgerlich dass nicht immer alles rund läuft aber andere Lösungen können wir derzeit nicht anbieten.

I do have one quick suggestion you can try if you havent… I am using windows 8.1, you are on windows 10, so perhaps try setting the launcher compatibility to windows 8/8.1, but make sure you empty the temp files and restart before doing it, just in case… good luck!

For some reason I get an error saying that there’s no disk in D drive :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

I just downloaded the launcher and when I tried to install it I get a message pop up saying:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive F:.

I’m not super tech savvy, so any help or solutions would be appreciated.

I get the same error! Hopefully they will fix it soon.

The developers are already working on it. Just wait. I am also getting the same error as you :wink:

Glad I’m not the only one to get this problem!

When I launch the game the updater tells me to please wait and I left it on for 8 hours last night and it hasn’t budged. It isn’t being blocked by any firewalls or antivirus and I was able to update just fine before this patch. Any ideas?

Hi guys :smiley: Did anyone get the error: Unknown bundle setup error: 0x80070015. I didnt see this error code yet anywhere on the forum :wink:

Got the same error just now. I am using Windows10, what infos do you need to try and fix this problem?
