I do not think that people are considering the whole game too short, there are many activities to be done and many interresting side quests. What I read is many people complaining that the main story is too short and that it should have been completed before working on the side quests. To be fair in the current state of the game Henry will not be able to reach his goal, not even half.
For the moment many people don’t have finished the game but I can already predict more and more discontent regarding the main plot and the way it was just cut.
It’s like ending Skyrim before to confront Alduin or ending Witcher 3 just when you enter Novigrad.
Ok that’s the problem with Acts, you gotta take a break somewhere. I dislike most endings of Games, Books, Series and so on, actually i’m already afraid of the ending of the Game of Thrones Series. Open Endings are fine for me, because then i’m able to think ahead myself. But again i’m not finished with the game yet so it may be possible that i’m angry about the ending too But we just gotta wait for the next Act. The most realistic ending of the whole story would be Henry dying, but i think most people would dislike that… Actually i’ve never played/completed an RPG where you would just die in the End. Pls no spoilers
Btw just a random question what is the max level?
max level is 20
Thank you.
But what I think wouldn’t make sense is for them to make a new paid game while we haven’t even completed the story since you can’t finish it because you are not able to kill Markvart von Aulitz (that german guy who killed your parents)
And that is one of the main quests and you don’t complete it in the so called end wich makes me wonder how they would implement that into the next game if it would work like that
would be cool if you keep on playing with the same (your) henry in the next act
so that everything will be transferred and decisions from act 1 may still have impact
I don’t know and I’m not really sure about that for the moment. After reaching endgame I’m wearing a full plate armor, I’m a good swordman and a pretty good archer too, I’m not that young man who fled from a burning Skalice anymore and I’m already strong enough to take my revenge.
A really big gameplay part of Kingdom Come is about become stronger, to learn courage and to reach the level of a good knight. If there is a new game, all that “gameplay” oriented progression will be lost then because I will already be a good swordmen, a good archer, with a full plate armor, it’s like launching a new game almost at max level and with the best equipments (Not sure if there was a better armor back then than a full plate armor but to increase defense stats of newer armors would makes no sense at all).
What works for fantasy RPGs doesn’t necesseraly works for this one, if any hero like Geralt can learn new moves, new spells and learn how to make new potions, in an authentic/realistic way, progression is much more restricted (maybe I’m wrong about that and they will find out how to do, but I have some doubts).
yes thats actually a good point,
I’m not finished with the story so I cant tell how the transition will work best
it would also be unrealistic if you’re the weak henry with no experience
as far as I understood the story will be continued so Henry has made some progress in thinking and fighting…
will be interesting how warhorse thinks about it.
Hopefully we’ll know soon if it is a DLC or a new game. I would prefer to have a complete story in this one even if it needs a DLC and a brand new character and land in the next one.
