►Alpha 0.4 Bug List

Thank you for the reply, Blacksmith! :slight_smile: I’m curious tough, is the intention to keep the quest set-up this way? (I know it’s tech-alpha) It seems confusing…I almost think that it should have ended there; considering that there are multiple ways of completing a quest. It’s likely that the quests will be cleaned-up before release but the summaries of the quests are fairly vague so it left me (and I’m sure others who completed the quest in the order I did) possibly confused.

Can I put the seal, back? :laughing:

You are right. First I have done the quest, I thought I´am finshed after opening the door and the chest, but the quest objective is: Find the Bailiff´s keys…

And yes, every quest needs a little polish, but I don´t know if the alpha quests will be in the release(if not, waist of time…). :blush:

But after he is pissed off, give him the seal, and everthing is okay (also not really realistic) :wink:

Shadows don´t fit (board)

Using the ladder not supported,… maybe you stuck in the roof

The textures on the ground (straw) match with your shoes by gliding over

And many glitches with the clothes layer system

Dropping money:
If drop only 0.1 groschen, money is lost…

Dropping 0.2 and more works (and you can pick it up again)

This bug made me chuckle

I love just hanging out in sandbox games and watching AI etc. The story here was this inn keeper. She> was going to sweep and a third gentleman sat down after she poured the other two a drink, she took the broom over to the pitcher but never picked up the pitcher and proceeded to give him broom dust/dirt, then she went back and set the broom in the serving pitcher before going to another table and drinking herself…I wonder how much she’s had today?

like im playing in the arena thing to impress the general captain dude and so i bet 10 money and the dude just stands there in a guard and never dies

Do you play saved game or do you start a new one?

If you continue old game I’d suggest to start new game.
If not you can always try reinstalling the game.

This is a known bug, it happens from time to time especially with a continued game.

I once had a combatant run away from me.

Update 0.5 should be out sometime this month so this should hopefully be one of the bugs that’s been remedied.

I took a very long time on activating the trigger for the herbalist to go help Miroslav. Upon arriving to the camp, Miroslav’s friend said that he had died and was “tired of waiting for me”. I wasn’t sure if that was tongue-and-cheek humour but Miroslav looked pretty dead to me.

Once the herbalist caught-up to the camp she tended to Miroslav’s “wounds”.

Hey you old hag! He’s dead, can’t you see?!

Oh wait, nevermind! (/facepalm…They’re both idiots… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: )

This is a known issue but apparently it’s a small price that has to be paid for the torch to actually glow. I’ll discuss it with our artists again to see if the priorities can be shifted. The one with Miroslav is however quite severe so thank you for tracking it out :grin: . Will look into that one.

ALL bugs with the torch break really the immersion.
For example:
Torch dosn´t work in dialogues (>terrible in the night).
Torch dosn´t work on horseback (>riding horse in the night)
Torch burns underwater.
Torch burns forever.
If you don´t use a torch and drop it, it burns…??(A torch in the inventory shouldn´t burn,… why should I first light up the torch and than drop it?)
Why can´t I use the torch as a weapon?
And the shadow bug!!!

I hope this is all fixed in 0.5. It´s long time ago since 0.4,… waiting! :wink:

Promluvil jsem s kovářem v prvním městě a po ukončení dialogu se začal točit kolem dokola jako pošuk. Nějaká chyba pohybu.

Hello, i played the 0.4 alpha for some hours now.
First, the 0.3 was stable and runs fast, the textures were load in 2 seconds and there are no loading times, no freezes, frames per second about 40-50.
if i startet 0.4 now, i had to wait about 30 seconds before all textures were loaded, frames about 20 per second.
i have many small freezes, most of them, if i will turn quickly.
sometimes the game crashes, after a couple of hours i played, the game crashes very frequently!
in example: i talk to someone, crash, i harvest an herb, crash, i turn quickly, crash.
the last two hours i played 5 minutes, then quit and started the game again, couse im feared of crashes and dont wanna talk 5 times the same dialogue…
now the game crashes directly after start, no later than 5 minutes, if i do someting. if i dont do something, it will not crash…

my system:
windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Service pack 1
AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 4.00 GHz
8.00 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7800

Hello John, welcome in our forum.
Thank you, for your report.

This build alpha 0.4 is a real performance destroyer. There are not many PC system which can handle it.
Alpha 0.5 (which we expect in few days) will probably improve.

Let me venture a guess: It´s the continue funktion (after save by exit). This funktion makes a lot of trouble. It´s experimental and not very stable. After loading the saved game it could crash immediately, or 5 minutes/a hour later.
Sometime it works well(but also not on my PC). :smiley:

Try to start a new game, and play without exit/continue. Should work better.
I know, it´s a little foolish to have a save/load funktion, but not to use it. :blush:

One little bug, which breaks the immersion.
In the soldier camp when you get the sword fighting lesson (tutorial). You fight with a wooden sword! Hitting with the sword makes a wooden sound, but step together and cross the swords makes a metallic clang of arms.

Hope you can fix this in Alpha 0.5! :smiley:

By the way, is this Alpha 0.49 or Alpha 0.5??? :wink:

Hello, I hope I’ll make you happy for once but yes, the sound of swords should resemble the one of wooden swords in future update :). As for other bugs, thanks for all of your enthusiasm! I would however recommend waiting with further reports for Alpha 0.5 which should see the light of day soon :wink:.
