This topic is great for getting my prejudices about (white) Americans confirmed.

Gun happy, know nothing about the rest of the world but a bit of propaganda. think the US is the best place in the world. View history in a VERY Pro US light, where the US can’t do much wrong. Got prejudices about everyone with another skin color. Think the US is in some way morally better than the rest of the world. Think the civil war was special in its destructiveness or specially modern compared to contemporary wars. View all US military adventures and imperialistic wars as some sort of liberation. (until the Iraq war…)

Suggest you read a bit about the Taiping Rebellion or even just the rebellions in 1848 and in Paris in 1871…
In comparison The US civil war was a gentleman fight with very limited civilian destruction or death.

And try to remember that Grant won the war. also try counting how many men he lost during the war and compare it to lee. Grant got less of his men killed than Lee did. and he held army command for a longer time than Lee.
But I guess you are a strong believe in the “lost cause myth” and think the south did nothing wrong…

Of-cause now we are basing the UK and US, suggest you lean a bit about the US Spanish war… Pure imperialism… no worse and no better than what the Europeans powers did around the world.

i agree we were the play ground bullies and yes me murdered millions but we crafted something the countries were much better off when we left than when we went in , that may be hard to see in countries in africa but they are better off now than before , where as the same cant be said for ANY of the nations the usa has "liberated " they are now all in tribal chaos you did the reverse of what we did .

we built nations with an iron fist , you destroyed nations with a sharp knife to the back .
we are indeed arguing who was the lesser evil , both evils are in it for personal gain but we left places in better shape than the US is doing , just look what the west has done at america’s command to places like …iraq,Libya , ukraine , Afghanistan and many many more . with the british look at india before and after we invaded and tell me we wasnt a force for good for than now proud and powerful nation of course it still has many problems but its in good shape and was when we left it .

iraq is, before the gulf war iraq was a powerful nation thats healthcare system was said to be the gem of the arab world it was heading to a great future but sadamn made a bad move he tried changing the currency that oil is traded in from the dollar to the new gold dinar which would of benifited the arab world hugely but would of cost the us masses in cash so you invaded and crushed a once proud country .

I’ll use Asia, Africa, and South and central America. Africa which was taking over by Europeans like the British, French, and other countries is now a complete and total shit hole. Now take south and central america which is the place where U.S imperialism was present. Mexico is a shit hole and so are a few other countries but many countries in central America are rated one the worlds most happiest places are are very modern and crime free. Many countries in South America are modernized, have good health care, and have low crime. South Africa the place the british touched is a shit hole. Malaria the disease that kills the most people in the world is a new strain that was caused by Europeans bring horses and other livestock to Africa. The native Africans were immune to the old strains. So when you people showed up it mutated and spread to Africans.

I live in the US and i can tell you its not the place to be anymore. I enjoy living here, but i agree 100% that this nation is on the decline, and its going fast. Also the hole gun happy thing, thats just how we were raised. The gun is a symbol of our countries independence, and we are all proud of our heritage, as im sure you are of yours. You may disagree with them, but its a right that was given to us by the creators of our country, and so what if there are a lot of murders, more gun crime, most of us choose to live with the danger of guns everywhere because we believe that without guns, the government can do whatever the fuck it wants with us.

Iraq was ran by a corrupt murdering psycho path who butchered millions of people. We are still finding mass graves of people killed by the republican guard under Saddam Hussein. Such a proud nation right… There was also a war between Iraq and Iran that got over 400,000 people killed over different classes of islam. He was a terrible leader dont make excuses for him.

That is not proved. Nevetheless during first waves of colonization of Africa and America there were no US. US is a product of European colonization. And I would add US never considered her native inhabitants so it will be highly hypocritical to reproach Europe for her attitude to native inhabitants of the colonized countries.

Well, there are three things that will drown a topic and end up in full out flame wars: sex, religion and politics.

In Germany, knife attacks are the most common. Gun violence is less of an issue and I am not afraid of guns (I work in the firearms industry myself). Knives, however, are the most dangerous weapon, or any other silent, concealable and sharp item. Within 7-10m, a knive beats any handgun, regardless of shooter skill (if not already aiming at the assilant).

In in-game terms, I hope that daggers are a viable option for the sneaky backstabbing bastards (i like to play) even against armor, as long as the target is unaware.

I could post my opinion about world politics, but those might not be for the faint of heart.

In short: the three aforementioned topics (sex, religion, politics) are the cause of all evil. Sex leads to more population, religion to mindless zombies and politics to paranoia. The result: mindless paranoid zombie hordes… That about sums it all up quite nicely. :smiley:
