The funny part is that a Russian general held a lecture on âunconventional warfareâ month before the invasion of the Crimea. The NATO was surprised by the invasion because they only read the transcript of said lecture after it has been translated to english, although it was available on the website of the Russian Military Academy.
They specifically talked about the same tactics used in the Crimea, without using the words Ukraine. Russia tries to gain a world power status again to compete against the struggling USA. They need to show their strength as much as North Korea did to please the hardliners. It is all about power and the status quo.
Europe is in no shape to defend itself. Germany sold off so much equipment (and send premature xmas gifts to Kurds) that we could be invaded by Denmark or Switzerland.
The largest NATO army around Europe is Turkey but has cold war era equipment. I would say the UK is still the most advanced country as it actually participates in conflicts and does not hide behind the curtains as Germany does (oh noes, people could think we are still all evil Nazis goosestomping through the worldâŠ) seriously, if any nation is goosemarching through Europe it will be Russia or the ISIS.
You completely mis understand this law. If you are in a public area that you have every right to be in and someone is attempting to take your life or threatening you it is legal to us the force required to defend yourself. No one just guns someone else down in an argument and gets away with it.
I dont expect you to understand you live in a tiny irrelevant country so you donât have to really worry about crime. The police force is incompetent over here or they go completely over board.

ISIS is not a nation. And it would have to defeat and overtake Turkey before marching through Europe - which is unthinkable. And I am not afraid of Russia either. I admit Russia is a danger for Europe in case the situation escalates but there is no motivation for Russia to attack Europe.
Well someone people dont believe a Russian invasion is possible but i do. If it does happen the United States will be there with you guys even though you dont like us. I would probably go to fight myself or there would be a draft.
If owning a gun was difficult, people would not use their hard earned legal fireams in crimes. If you are handed out a gun just because, the tendency to use this gun in an illegal manner is way higher.
However, owning a gun does not make you a killer. My guns could lay around my apparement, fully loaded, ready to fire with their muzzle pointing at people and would not shoot until someone pulls the trigger (note to the friendly government agent: this is a hypothetical statement, my guns are not loaded, not pointed at any human being and safely stored away in my safe).
There has to be a restriction of some sorts to obtain a gun, but no restriction in the type of firearm or attachment.
I would not want every lunatic to own a gun. Those that are mentally unstable or otherwise disabled need our protection since they can not protect themselves. The way the USA handles firearms is, in my opinion, too lash, the way Germany handles gun laws is too strict.

Of course they are worried. Isis is highly disturbing movement in highly unstable area which includes parts of Turkeyâs territory and a nuclear power.
Nevertheless ISIS would never be able to defeat Turkey in conventional war, occupy it and contnue to Balkans.

Russia mainly lost to Finland because of the harsh winters and because finland had white death. They were able to win through guerrilla warfare and seeing how you guys dont have guns to fight an insurgency war you would be stuck with mother Russia.
