it should depend on the state of the game, the devs/studio should officially announce a refund is available for buyers of both physical or digital copies.if the buyer wants to get a refund until the game is in a full playable state
So now your opinion is more valuable than mine? Awesome!
My advice for you is this. Don“t play the game until the save-game-corruption-Problem is fixed! Some systems seem to be more prone to that nasty bug than others. So if you do not want to waste your time just do not play until it is fixed! If you have to play the game try to avoid fast travel. It seems that this feature is bugged and causes to Crash the game so that it corrupts the save game! If you cannot do that try to get a refund, because there is no fix at this time, there is no workaround and there is no chance that warhorse will give you a individual patch.
I hope that was constructive enough! And now enjoy World Womensday!
How should that work? The Cosole Game was published by Deep Silver and not the Studio. Also the game IS in a playable state. Sadly bugriddled
WOW OP; I get that you PCgaming is limited,⦠but to claim the games you have played were without bugs; not on launch were they!
Three weeks of time in the wild for an open world RPGis bugger all. And Warhorse have been full on making this game better.
(Unlike many teams who break on product going gold, taking a many year long deserved holiday, they stayed on working tirelessly for six more weeks to crete the day one patch, and havenāt stopped since.)
Less than a month of live time for an RPGis very little. No seasoned gamer would try to seriously play a main quest line and expect no niggles. Not modern gamers.
Easy to make a seven hour total playtime linear game experience polished out the gate (and still many companies donāt achieve that),⦠but open world RPGs? The big boys dont even support their own products (except for with paid for expansions), and communities normally have tooā¦
So even if Warhorse packed up and stopped working (very unlikely), having a framework for modding in place (they are working on), will give this title legs for many years.
Modded Skyrim is the only reason that game is still relevant and has been rereleased multiple times since its launch in 2011. User patchs fix most issues. Recently some people even finished off story arcs that had been put in game but not made playable.
Warhorse have plans for this title, but if all else fails, a user community to mod Cryengine will go rampant (this isnāt some dodgy gamebryo engine).
Modding Cryengine is something people may have expierience with⦠This title will have a HUGE community.
we just need some patience to see it grow.
Time will tell.
Do we really want to look like a bunch of entitled whingers when people come back and look at the impatience gamers had for this (un)polished gem on launch.
The save game bug is a biggy and very frustrating.
Beyond that everything else about this game is par for the course for modern games launching,⦠everything except the dedicated care coming from Warhorse- that is above average and ongoing with full love.
Ido believe bugs should be reported.
Ialso think it is our responsibility, here in this community and elsewhere on the internet⦠to keep things in perspective.
If we report bugs once,. using the proper channels, then the devs have useful data to go off, and can target the right thingsā¦
Freespeech sure, buts lets make our voice valuable.
of course they have to be reported! But the how is important
That is all you read in my Posting? I am baffled from your infinite Wisdom. Also I did not know this is your thread, you just hijacked it for your own purposes SJW Style.
This guy isnāt wrong. I have participated in numerous beta tests and i have personally never seen anything as rough as this game and thus far the patches seem to actually be making things worse. Warhorse launched a very rough beta build for full price. While i give them credit for the balls it must have taken to make that decision, i have no sympathy for them regarding the feedback they are receiving. Every criticism i have seen is absolutly legitimate. Why should this studio get a pass?
I literally cringe every time i see some white knight fanboy pop out to rudely attack a customer who cared enough to make a profile here to express their feelings about this barely half baked product. These white knights arent doing anyone any favors, they arent helping warhorse be a better studio. Acting like this level of embarassing problems is normal or even half way acceptable in a full price game can only serve to do damage to the industry in general.
Had WH delayed 6 months for testing and polishing KCD may well have been universally hailed as a masterpiece. They would have made larger much more experienced studios look like incompetent chumps. Its too bad that didnt happen. Maybe they ran out of money and couldnt finish, perhaps the publisher didnt allow the badly needed delay, either way it makes no difference. No matter how well its fixed in the future every article and review will include an asterisk pointing out the state this game was in at launch. The first impression for this studio has been made.
I want warhorse to be the best it can be because success means they may be around long enough to make more games that shine a light on this kind of history. Launching their game in this state makes me worry about their ability to stick around long term.
Well because fanboys donāt focus on the problems we are having but how are we talking about the problem. I get your point but stop shifting the focus from the critical issues to trivial things like the way of communication. As long as you donāt have a fix or not encountering the same issue then just go play your perfect bug-free game.
They should not be spared, that was never said in this thread. Shitslinging and threats is no critisim, it is vented toxicity! THAT is the point.
No one was defending Warhorse, NO ONE! If I was working in Support and someone would write me a Message like that, I would put him at the bottom of my āto doā List.
I totally agree with you. Right now it is a crappy bugfest!
workaround would be to either upload saves into the cloud or use usb drive and backup the saves there
patch 1.3 should come in 1-2 weeks and the problem should be fixed
last I read here in the Forums these will be corrupt as well.
ok, havent read that⦠I dont know since I dont play on console, then the only remaining option would be to wait for patch
Corrupted saves will remain corrupted after patch. Sadly that appears to be the truth. They will fix certain save corrupting quests (like robber baron) but there is nothing to do about the saves themselves. I understand the frustration of many of you and I have suffered from the same problem where I lost around 4 hours of game time due to that quest corrupting my savefiles. I am having a relatively problem free experience besides the errors that are due to the lack of testing of the game.
For example, while certain quests consider actions you have done in the game and change dialogue accordingly, others seem to be lacking this multipath which makes them a lot more glaring because they pull you off the game.
I am still enjoying the game but it is clearly unfinished and unpolished and I am really sorry for those who cannot play it. My best advice would be to play something else and come back in a monthās time and start the game anew.
playable state?..erm noā¦then deep silver should offer refundsš
Honestly comparing this game to another buggy game needs to stop being the standard defence for fan boys.
All I keep hearing is about assassins creed unity and skyrimā¦
- They are both old
- They were both cheaper at launch
- They received heavy criticism also
- At least they had an actual ending
Great so a Dev put out a buggy game and that somehow justifys this being a buggy game⦠it doesnāt, I was pissed off about AC unity the same as I am this game but I must say KCD has a lot more game breaking bugs. Iāve played more stable early access games that arenāt even in beta yet. People are so annoyed at this game that they have made forum accounts just to vent there fustrations.
