►Beta 1.0 Bug List (glitches and funny things)

I’m standing in a house here:

I slept on a bench and I’ve just woken to find that it’s raining … inside the house.
It is very hard to show in a still image, but I’ve drawn a red square around the dark area of the image where a few lighter streaks are, these are raindrops. It’s very easy to see in game though when they are moving. It’s as though the rain just disregards the roof completely.

I tried capturing a vid of it, but before I got the software started it had stopped raining. =)

I’ve seen others report about light and dark areas where there shouldn’t be, I’ve found another tie-in, I think.
I’m still in Talmberg

And I came across this after a rain.

It is basically a long streak of dryness where it makes no sense to see dryness, there’s nothing to cover it from the rain etc.and it continues on the other side too.

Ass you can see, the entrance is entirely dry, and in sharp contrast to the terrain around it.
Also to both the right and left of the entrance mesh there there are harsh edges of dryness.

I can see I was a bit too quick to post that one. The image has by now been cleared from my clipboard.
Suffice to say that the entrance to the store cellar by the inn in Talmberg has some sort of nano-cover all over it :wink: Nothing gets wet and you can see the seams where it intersects with the terrain, and the same is true for some of the details around it too =)

I’m attacking a Cuman, and he just said something “Mergtegleck” or some such, my Cumanese is not so good ^^

Anyway, he repeated the sentence three times and sounded mostly like a broken record, it doesn’t sound like he’s supposed to do that. =)

What tends to happen is, that the character switches into his “it’s all over phase” and starts to sheathe his sword. When you hit him during this transition when your combat controls are not disabled, you can occasionally kill a character or trigger a crime. This will be improved! :slightly_smiling:

Outside the abandoned house north of Talmberg

There are a few objects that are lying in unnatural positions, floating etc.

Start in the player inventory
Then go to the horse inventory
Then to the player stats screen
Finally go back to the player inventory

All item fields are now empty, despite the items still being equipped.

I’ve noticed that sometimes when you enter the options menu a setting will get stuck and just keep swiping left or right, it happens right when you enter the menu, and doesn’t seem repeatable after the options page has loaded.
The only fix I’ve found is to simply go back a menu and go forward again.
You can’t simply press the offending button as that doesn’t seem to do much of anything.

I’m not sure how exactly to repeat the bug as it only happens sometimes.

Minor graphical glitch.
A tree in Merhojed, seems to be a bit shy and hide whenever i walk up behind it… or infront…
hmmm…

When i stand some ways of it is there.

But when i get closer, i scare it.

When you have to 1v1 an NPC when the match is over he sheets his sword but if you hit him 1 more time it counts as an assault.

Well he is harmless when he sheathe his sword! Why do you attack this poor unarmed innocent! :smiley:
In serious tone now, this was already noted by the dev, and he stated that this is bug which will be resolved :slight_smile:

I reported bug: “when I drop something is no longer there” but it was my mistake I move it all to horse invetory and didnt notice so sorry for mystifikacion

I made the same mistake, but it was in the dark of night, so I was like, did I just not see where it went? Then I walked around with the torch couldn’t see it, then waited till daylight, still couldn’t see it anywhere (but the grass was tall and I’d been walking around).
It’s first now, when reading your post that it dawned on me that I did in fact not drop it, I placed it in the horse inventory, though at the time I’d never used the horse inventory, so I didn’t know that was an option, I misread the instructions at the bottom too xD
Perhaps it should be better labelled or not use the same key or something?

This is still affecting my gameplay and it has become a gamebreaking bug since the shopkeeper won’t talk to me anymore. This means that some of the quest objectives can’t be met…

They make some mighty fine magnesium torches in the Kingdom of Bohemia. They even release embers and smoke when submerged.

I have previously been fined for no obvious reason and I have the white/blue “money bag” icon when I am in Tamberg which I never understood since I haven’t stolen anything. But now I think I know why…

I haven’t been paying much attention to the horse earlier but when I did just now, I realised that the saddle I have been using all along is marked as stolen. Question is why I got a stolen saddle when this is the horse given to me by when I started the game. Is this a bug?

I also wonder why I can’t ride fast right now? If I read the weight correctly I have loaded 49.6 out of possible 72. This would mean the horse isn’t carrying too much to gallop right? Or am I reading the numbers wrong?

Just a funny bug

Just out of curiousity, why does everything reported get buried in this monstrous thread? It makes it impossible to get an overview of what has been reported already. Since there isn’t a proper bug tracker, normally beta feedback would follow a procedure similar to this:

[1> User reports issue in bug forum
[2] Moderator confirms if it is a new issue or if it has been reported before
[3] Post gets tagged bug
(4) Developer has a look, tries to reproduce and either labels the post confirmed bug or can’t reproduce.
[5] If the developer need additional info they ask for it. If a bug, it gets added to the list of confirmed bugs and post gets locked.

As things are being handled now it is totally impossible to figure out if bugs are already reported or confirmed since they get buried in this giant thread mixed with discussions and funny glitches. Is this really the way Warhorse want their bug reporting?

How do I as a beta tester know what is happening with my reports? Has a dev been assigned to the task of solving it? Has it been fixed and waiting to be added to a patch? Is it even on the to-do list?

Of course proper bug tracking would be even better. I really suggest using something like Mantis Bug tracker: http://www.mantisbt.org/

I was in fight with guard and another guard came and started a dialog, and i got killed by other guard while trying to get from dialog. Clever tactic move. It happens when two people report crime to two guards.
