Calling ALL Xbox One Users

There are things that can be done…

Just saying that one patch version works without stutters and another doesnt (and the problem has happened across all builds from vanilla forwards shows it IS system specific)…many users state that a specific version worked better for them and there is no method to that (it is irrespective of any builds that might have implementations to address)…

As a tech supporter for this w eould have enough info to call it-
I have offered help to directly adress this issue for console users but they (lumping em together here) like to give arguments for how it isnt for them to fix.

And yeah I take an attitude tonpeiple whohave spent less than an hour reading on this site - which due to the nature of all these threads existing on the same topics and all having all of ten posts by new complaijers stating what they expect and what they wont do- Ive come to be a liitle skeptical that console users CAN maintain there systems. …

Most console users I know come from PC backgrounds and use consoles for multiplayer games (less cheating ingeneral) - thise gamers would never let their drives fragment badly- and funnily enough- they dont get the issues only some are experiencing.

And wowsers the arguments the uneducate give explaining how ‘alltheir other games are fine’/‘others in other systems also have the problem’…
When clearly it might be ‘a little from column a, a little from column b’.
Not being able to take any responsibility for whats different about your closed system (drive usage or gameplay style being the two I am aware of)(possibly system settings-where setting xbox x res to 1080 might be a fix for some issues for some) there really isnt much to do.

That console users typically take a stance of do nothing, but start ten threads and yell out loud if anyone doesnt answer in ways that suit them (where it doesnt matter if kill em with kindness ir antagonise them to annoyance has the same outcome (no fix)) it is a case of damned if we do/damned if we dont.

Whilst Ibhave been postulating fixes for months now- the urgency is ramped up presently-cause if WH cannot get a handle on it shortly- the game will get optimised in ways that suit nobody.

Literally stabbing blindly in the dark.

So I started off (in this thread) calling out a lack of actual interest to get it fixed…
(Based on less than an hour of reading here-and denying all fixes read)…

In councelling the personality that can accept that some of their issues are based on their own actions are easy to help.
In contrast- those who blame others for everything…

Edit:on checking this thread it isnt the OP (who is clearly openminded and willing), but rather posters like scourge who fit my description (1hr read time and knows everything and all blame on others)

@Kirksty entering a thread and posting useless rebuttals is frowned upon on any forum.

Then flagging people who don’t take kindly to your behavior is just lowly. If you have nothing useful to add to the thread please refrain from posting at all.

@Scourge79 Please try and remain civil, engaging with a troll especially one with weak skills is never worth it mate.

If you actually cared - Id hazard a poorly running drive.

Fragmentation can slow drive access down ten fold.
On a game trying to stream assets and requiring a minimum transfer speed… all these patches and large game installs can get messy.

Enough tocause some gamers issues and others none.

“Bugs persist on old saves no matter what”, would be very disappointing, if a player has to start a new game after each update.
I just came back to the blog today and was thrilled to find a new update was issued on June 5. I’m pleased to see this and will be more pleased if this update removes the screen stutter, since I haven’t played the game since April because of that one problem.
I’ll try updating in a few days, test the results and post my findings.
Thanks to everyone for their comments!

A fragmented disk on the Xbox might be the problem, but I have not come across any method to correct it.
Do you have one?
I deleted all my other games from the Xbox in April, except Skyrim and KCD, and started a new KCD game in April after the last patch, but still had the screen stutter.
I had about 800 hours on Skyrim and had some minor screen stutter late in the game, so I was hesitant to put all the blame on KCD, because the screen stutter was not present early in KCD either.
I suspected that some files, which grow during the collection of items, might be too much for the XBox processor to handle. Most posters seem to be against that idea.
Appreciate your comment.

Knowing that some people are not experiencing the problem is also good info.
While I suspect all XBoxes will have certain parameters that they will all operate at, at the time they leave the factory, not all are operating under the same conditions in the field.
I suspected my XBox processor was running too hot while playing Skyrim because the XBox was stored in an enclosed case and I would leave the door open while playing. That didn’t fix the problems, so I added a computer fan to help ventilation, and that eliminated my occasional screen stutter while playing Skyrim, so I suspected excess heat might be the problem.
The fan did not fix the problem for KCD, and like Skyrim, the stutter problem did not start until many hours later, the collection on many items and improved skills - files that naturally grow in size as the game is played.
XBox performance became my main suspect for the frame stutter.

I agree and my hope for my post was to find other XBox users that might have specific answers to correct possible XBox problems.
I suspect War Horse will correct their programming problems, but I suspect that some problems may be XBox hardware issues, which may include a degraded disk or memory.

i have the same suspicion of KCD on all consoles. it’s why i delete and then re-install KCD after every patch  don’t know about XB but there’s was (and bet there still is) a temp/cached data problem on PS

I am wondering if investing in an external hard drive for the XBox and transferring the game to that might fix the frame stutter problem.
Maybe Microsoft should give us Xbox owners an update that would actually help us with performance, instead of the bells, whistles and handstands they put in their updates that I personally will never use.
Like the ability to defragment the XBox hard drive?

There aren’t any frame rate issues with 1.5. Unless you post evidence cos we’re used to ppl wasting our time.

I hope you’re correct.

Just loaded up the game after noticing the 1.5 update. I’m an hour into my original 71 hour player line 1 save and the performance is almost flawless.
I am a very happy bunny
