Can anyone explain to me why the brigandine is the best armor?

Thank you that was very informative

Also thank you too

Oh? Where did you obtain said armour?

The bandit captain will drop it during the runt mission and it’s also in the dlc armor chest. Those are the only two places I’ve seen it, I picked it up off the bandit captain without paying attention and almost sold it.

It’s pretty distinguishable as it has a clover like design on the upper chest.

ah thanks vm

The milanese Brigandine is more akin to plate armour than a normal brigandine (the Aachen one).
The Milanese style brigandine is a full solid plate on the front attached to smaller pieces in the skirt. It is not the traditional brigandine.

Brigandines offer very good protection and a well made brigandine will offer better protection than munition grade plate armour. There is some overlap in the metal plates so thikness is larger, they were easier to repair and vital organs are covered by thicker plate.
Seriously, they should have added more colours to the Aachen brigandine. In red they are awesome.

there is a red and yellow (two tone left/right) Aachen brigandine that can be found in a locked chest by a bridge abutment not far from the southern part of the palisade fence around skilitz, if you want a multi coloured Aachen brigandine.
