Estimated Time of Arrival on Shop?

to be honest sometimes shit happens. They have stated that they have had issues negotiating with paypal etc so it could have been something like that or could have been a catastrophic bug (heartbleed) or any number of things.

Yes it is unfortunate that it hasnt materialized yet but I think that was a best case scenario and something came up.
why have a store with a big bug that can be exploited or end up paying a higher fee (transaction) for no reason?

It’s just obviously not ready yet. The reasons can probably be worked out based on what they’ve already written about getting the shop open, so at this point if it does happen to be a couple more weeks or so before the kinks are worked out, it’s not the end of the world. Better to have it the way it needs to be and take the time to get that part right instead of rushing it.

I thought they are struggling on figuring out a way to pay tax for the incomes and all those documental things. They are in the Europe, so it is probably more complicated to open a store than in the U.S., especially an online store. Because some countries are probably conservative on the old style, and do not update their laws. You can find this complaint in their most recent news:“What’s Next.”

I never thought about the complicated European laws, but i’d think there would be an easy way around that by simply opening up an office in the US/CAN to take care of that zone independently.

compounding the issue by opening a satellite actually. Now you have to obey 2 countries laws perfectly and deal with international trade. Another whole can of worms.

Plus pay staff etc for that new office. (lawyers, accnts,)
Yes there are significant benefits if you are a large corporation and can transfer funds around but in this case it would be far from beneficial and having to prepare extra financial statements, legal work, then export to home country and deal with everything else there- well big mess for a small studio.

Let them get thier stuff nailed down here and law codified - especially tax law - what would be the point of opening a store and having the company go into receivership?

I understand the opportunity cost of not having store open and going but I am sure there is a good reason why other than not ready. Frankly it would be far better to get everything in a line now then later on in 6-8 months hit some huge snag and have to pull the shop down because of an issue. That fallout could cripple the game especially if it was a tax case or something.

TLDR:damn good reason why store isnt up yet. Hold ur horsies a little longer please.
For the next studio in the country it will be much easier as things will be sorted.
