One thing we Brits are good at is being very lazy when it comes to speaking our own language. You’ll find dropped words and syllables all over the place in spoken English (Scots in particular).

Another Queenslander (Brisbane). When I told my wife that I had pledged money to yet another game, she said something like “Another game…why did we get married and have kids ?” At least I think that’s what she said, I wasn’t really listening.
That’s ok. We Americans have similar problems too. We speak the same language but all talk so differently we often don’t understand each other
