GTX 1080Ti (390.77 WHQL Driver), i7 7700k @4.6Ghz, 16GB 3200Mhz DDR4 RAM, SSD. 1440p Performance unacceptable. Framerate drops in the 30-40s. Immersion breaking NPC, Object, Textures pop in at max settings, brief load before conversations, Microstuttering

The Cry Engine is extremely demanding, but I agree that top notch hardware should be able to run this game flawlessly.

I get about 27-40FPS on average on an i5 4970k OC @ 4.4ghz, 16GGB 1833 ram, Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX580, standard 7200RPM drive, Win 10 rpo – and the game struggles to run at times.

I know my memory and processor are a little old, but this game puts a hell of a dent in my video card and my processor and GPU run hotter than what I would like. CPU around 65c, and GPU peaks at around 50-55c.

I feel like t he game isn’t completely optimized yet, we gotta be patient though it’ll get better with patches and updates.

I am playing with all settings and sliders maxed at 1440p. Have a i7 @4.2, 1080, 32 GB Ram and am having no issues with loading in conversations or frame rate drops at the grocers. Seem to be 50-60 FPS consistently.

Can take a screenshot when I’m home from work. I also have only noticed one item, a pitcher outside Henry’s house, that popped in unexpectedly. Am definitely not seeing people’s hair load in.

I know very well that Witcher 3 and Skyrim had issues. In fact I was one of the first buyers of those games.

Agter about 60 hours of Witcher 3, I met a gamebreaking bug and shelfed the game until very recently when I started from scratch this time with mods and all. But that was not a game that was on kickstarter which had valuable feedback during the alpha and beta like Kingdom Come.

I backed Kingdom come from day 1 and played the alpha and was anticipating the full release, thinking that ity would be in a much better state than other open world releases in the past. It looks like I will have to shelf this game until it is fixed, something which I did not weant to repeat.

Now i am slightly worried.

I will do a clean driver install again.

Try DDU to do the clean install if you have it.

And perhaps if you have newest driver . Don’t be afraid to use a slightly older dirver . ( Don’t mind what Nvidia say about optimised driver)

Hey man, just checked out your hardware specs. You definitely should be able to run ultra high settings with your setup. If you’re lucky it might just be the driver that is causing the problems you are having. I think the huge day one patch is actually causing a lot of the issues that we are seeing. I am just speculating but since the patch basically changed almost every aspect of the game because of the number of bugs needed fixing. The drawback is that patches like these tend to create some errors that then cause performance issues. I am speaking from my experience with programming. It sucks that they couldn’t have the game better polished by day one and I understand your frustration. If these performance issues aren’t ironed out in the next month I would be very surprised. Good luck and keep us informed how it performs after the driver reinstall. Very interested to hear how it performs in the next couple of weeks before I get the game on pc(I am playing on the console first at the moment).

Just for interrest: 8GB 1333MHz + 2500k @4,3GHz + GTX 560-Ti 900MHz - LOW

1080p: in Skalitz village ~26 FPS ; Rattay ~20 FPS => From exploring, live cutscenes and some other AI / mechanic activities means drops to 10-20 for me

720p DS: in Skalitz village ~50 FPS; Rattay ~ 40 FPS => drops for AI /mechanics abour 25-35 FPS
(have few things set on medium here)

You are such a suckup! Every post I have seen of yours is so up the Devs ass its laughable. See the game for what it is and take your rose tinted glasses off! The game is NOT perfect.

That’s understandable but considering this game is selling at full-price comparable to a full fledged triple A title is kinda laughable. Definitely can tell that this game was born from Kickstarter funding.

You can clearly see that my framerate is much much lower than what people here are reporting with cheaper GPUs. Everyone is claiming 60+ fps with the same settings (“Ultra High” and all Distance sliders maxed out) I posted in the first screenshots.

I don’t know what to think anymore. Meanwhile all other games run fine.

bear in mind that there were identical issues in the kingdom Come Alpha. this is the only game to date that has given me such issues.

If at least the developers could chime in on this so that I can rest assured that this is indeed an issue with the game and that it has nothing to do with my PC. But they remain tightlipped

@fain80 and @scorpgul Which version of windows are you both using, 7/8/10? Also, scorpgul, you should post the entire contents of your task manager - processes tab (show processes from all users) for a representative system state prior to launching KCD.

Try emailing using the email provided by the community manager, he already stated that any bugs reported in the forums have a good chance of not getting seen and your best chance was direct email

I am using Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit and here is what my task manager looks like before I launch the game:

Every game goes through an alpha and beta stage so mentioning it like it’s something special is dumb.

ALPHA and BETA that the backers played and gave feedback on. Was Witcher 3 alpha and beta open to gamers?

No, they were able to hire people who do it professionally… All games have alphas and betas which are tested, only difference is KC:Ds was open. You’re acting like they had a crystal ball, no amount of testing will guarantee a flawless release, and we’ve seen with the Witcher.
