Hopping that Warhorse Studios read this

How appropriate to the discussion to insult in that way.

Art can be art but fact is, not everyone has equally as much to spend. If something is not worth the advertised value then it is in the right of the costumer to clearly make it visable and known to both company and consumer. There is no reason to buy something if the price/value is not right. Maybe you have enough money to have less of an effect on you. This piece of art is still a product = ‘‘a product or service made to be sold’’ and therefor demand proper valuation. of course, the natural flow of economics will deal with it, if WH doesn’t. If there remain bugs the reputation will go down and the value of the company will follow the reputation. How this works can be find out in the Book ‘‘alles over de economie’’ Dr Heertje.

This is 2018. There is no issue with being gay for my understanding. Being gay is not an issue anymore, and neither is it an insult. Please, come back to the 21st century. Unlike Dr Turning, Vavra won’t be ‘‘convicted’’ for being gay. Please keep such nonsense away.

I never saw people with no heads, seems like hardware loading textures issue, not a bug. Might try lower settings or playing with SSD
‘Zombie-like act’ I guess is your subjective opinion on NPCs AI. I think it’s good enough for an open-world game. Certainly better than in some games and has some innovative features, gets weird sometimes, but no bugs there
I remember that one with flying wenches (which they fixed). Indeed I enjoyed it, looked like some act of witchery. Especially when flying ‘witch’ fell down and the whole village started yelling and running towards her

Edit: looks like they removed the post so nevermind

You can get around 200hrs out of this game. I fail to see how this is not value for money. I went 1400hrs cos I took my time and explored everywhere. I really don’t see anyone complaining at that.

Some of the bugs are puzzling. Not going to defend any of them. That said, WH appears to me to be no different than Oracle or any other software vendor (with exception maybe of vendors that make medical device software); they roll out patches with bugs including some that cause performance degradation.

It would be nice to know what quality criteria WH is using for deciding ‘go-no go’, but we’re under no SLA obligating them to do so. Best we can hope for in my mind is them being candid with us. Unlike Lt Kaffee in A Few Good Men I can handle the truth, and think most of us here can do likewise

Not really a secret…

1.1 How do you classify a bug?
There is a lot of variables and it depends on the bug itself and also on the feature/quest that is bugged. That basically means bugs for main quests are more important than side quests, but not every time. It´s something that you need to learn by experience and if I have to speak for myself at least at the beginning it was a problem for me how to correctly classify it and it´s still sometimes. But we of course have a set of rules, that are helping us to classify the bugs. There are 5 priorities that we assign to the bugs – minor, normal, major, critical and show-stopper. The boundaries of the categories were changed few times how the development went on. Basically Show-stopper is the biggest priority, these bugs are game breaking, and it needs to be fixed ASAP. Critical bugs are bugs that needs to be fixed for sure, but they are not breaking the whole game. Major bugs are often critical bugs with low reproduction rate or bugs which are negatively affecting the experience from the game. Normal bugs are those that u don´t like, but you can live with. Minors are tiny details that player can notice but they don´t break anything. These are mostly graphical bugs. After all this it´s about pragmatic decisions. How does it affect players? Do we have time to change it? Sadly, there is no way how to fix everything, that´s just how it is.
1.2 How would you classify these immersion breaking things:
I will try to answer in short comments and assign the priorities I mentioned before.
• breaking things like glued bows to the back
o Between major and normal, it doesn´t look good but…
• scabbards without suspensions
o Between minor or normal, it´s nice to have, but…
• Shields without carrying straps
o Same as scabbards
• Magically lighting torches
o This is minor bug
• Torches that does not react to rain
o Minor
• Disappearing objects (knives, Swords and unfortunately scabbards…)
o This is major bug that we are talking about a lot, BUT we need to think about performance vs. benefit, there is a still huge chance that this will be changed somehow

The more new additions they make the more they have to negative test. That takes time in a game as complex as this. So that’s why we can’t have nice things. Testing everything over and over again is bound to get tiring. If we just has the original game and no new additions there would be less bugs for sure. Polished developers jist stick to the game as it was and everything is ironed out fast that way. Unless it’s Bethesda who still have bugs unfixed since 2012 with Skyrim lol

Understand all that. But none of that really touches on go-no go criteria that WH actually uses.

A while back I suggested that Rattay race (popin test of horse at canter or gallop) be used as a qualification test for each patch. Obviously, that’s not used

Bug is when something works not as intended, broken. Magically lighting torches is just a bad designed feature. They could improve it, but
I’d just wait for modding tools and replace all torches with lanterns

You are right, torches are not bug free. But if you look back to alpha or beta…
They have improved a lot…
I think they have 15 or 20 bugs “upgraded”.
Just a very small part of the game.

I don´t think THIS team (Warhorse) can make it better. If they get some help,… maybe. But GOOD people are really hard to get.
On the other side you can always increase the performace by lower the grafic/AI…
But I don´t want a downgrade,… you???

Popin-wise on PS4, I hope at least a little better than 1.5. But, if that’s not an option 1.5 would be ok

Time will tell

What rig you have?

Crappy one, barely meets minimum requirements, lol. Playing on low ofc and with low resolution - runs smoothly enough and no pop in issues

@Blacksmith: where does this bug that came with the dlc fit? : Random NPC losing their clothes all over the game. A come and go thing. One log on and say the gate guard at the south gate has his gear , then next playtime he doesn’t. You hire Adam to run the tavern while in ratay and he shows up undressed. talk to the rattay armorer and he is “naked” but later play time dressed. Mirka shows up dressed but then is undressed for 3 playtimes. A Preb. guard walks. by you and guess? "naked and no weapon. rattay bailiff give announcement …in his underwear. That’s just a few of them. Oh ya no mods

Can you give me specifics for rig and game settings?

Annoying, but only a minor bug since Version 0.8. WH has fixed this a dozen times, but sometimes they come back.
My game is fine. I only have two Talmberg guard in pants (but my fault,… I raided them)
