Hunting realism

My problem aside from that is animal sounds I find it hard to track them or find them. I would like to hear a boar squealing when hit and is running away or deer rustling the bushes while moving plus if an animal is wounded some blood trail to assist with visual tracking

Most boar don’t squeal when hit because they’ve got built-in Kevlar. They only feel spears (preferably backed up by a horse’s mass) and high-power rifles, as Henry tries to explain to Sir Hans in ā€œThe Preyā€. I’ve butchered many a feral boar with buckshot, arrowheads, and pistol slugs embedded in the thick layer of gristle along their flanks that’s there as armor from the tusks of other boars.

But yeah, blood trails from deer would be nice, as they can run a quarter mile with 2 broken shoulders and neither heart nor lungs. The main reason for making large holes in deer with either rifles or bows is to get that blood trail for when they inevitably run off into the woods where you can’t see them, Then you wait 1/2 hour after the shot to follow them in hopes they only ran 100m and then lay down to die of pneumato- or hemothorax by the time you start after them.

Kinda sure this is not a hunting game.
Did anyone pay attention to the story? Yeah, that’s pretty damn good.

Sakra, been approaching it all wrong

WH thx for the Czech slang

Sakra and sacre bleu seem like cognates, non?

I’m an avid hunter as well. It is kind of ridiculous how poor the hunting mechanics are in this game. IMO it’s as pretty as The Hunter Call of the Wild, which I highly recommend, so it’s a little sad they didn’t focus on that aspect very much… it’s all there…they just need to bring someone in strictly to add realism to the hunting mechanics. I’d be down to hunt more if it was a little better. Great observation.

Also make them respawn, I think I killed every stag in the game and haven’t seen any in 50+ hours
