It would be nice to have four ring slots, however I highly highly doubt that they will “boost stats” in anyway at all. They could possibly open up new dialog options as already stated but that’s about it, maybe they will increase your unarmed damage output but I doubt it although it is still a possibility.
I’d rather the devs spend their time finishing the core gamplay and then sorting out minor things like this after to be honest.
If they add stats to the player, I assume it will be something like charisma, that can help you if you are playing as a bard. (They have said that the game is an RPG, so it’s not crazy to think something like that).
Also I think they will be some kind of proof that you are member of a collective/guild/whatever. Something that can affect how the people perceive you, or maybe make you able to enter in some places.
actually their is going to be lore like in Skyrim but of the non magical kind,think Ivanhoe.

Of course there’s going to be Lore. He’s going to get there and generally be a dick to everybody as he tends to be without his ethical and moral sub-routines.
Seriously tho, the storyline of the main character will be fictional, and I presume that of most of the characters around him as well, to an extent. All of the fictional facts accumulated this way would be considered the game’s lore. Nonetheless, yeah, there won’t be lore that will allow for spiked armor shrugs
edit- I would love a spiked sword appearing tho, just so it can get lodged into someone’s dying body after you first stab a person with it and then you’re going to spend next 30 minutes by mashing ‘E’, trying to get the fucking thing out.
Oh yeah, lot’s of rings! Besides there is no magic, people will surely think you are charismatic, like a pimp or of weak chinned fancy boy, and offer you help to lighten your burden. And while you try to defend yourself against you get entangled with your jewelry in you cape or cloth and some friendly brute is putting a dung fork in your wind pipe.
Yes in fact I like it, increase the chance of people getting roughed up by brutes except if they wear some brass knuckles. Have also the chance of getting entangled in their cloth or losing their sword in a fight because of wearing to many rings! Then he is really send to kingdom come. :-))
