Obviously, but the unscaled areas are going to limit you and it feels incredibly artificial if done like non-scaled worlds usually work (i. e. levelled walls.) I loved what Oscuro’s Oblivion Overhaul did - safe roads, and the farther you got from civilization and guarded areas, the more difficult it got. Now that’s clever. That works. I want to see that more. But if I were to pick between leveled walls and scaling, scaling wins every time for me.
While we’re at it, a form of level scaling I would definitely like to see is opening up new quests based on your level. I’m faily sure I’ve seen that somewhere already, basically - as you level up, new quests dynamically open up in the game’s world. That way, you don’t get a ton of them dropped on your head and constantly get new stuff to do.
