Multiplayer Factions!

While I do agree that some forms of multiplayer would be great with KCD (like coop battles), I think you are disregarding the game too fast for the lack of it and generalizing that people will not find this game interesting.

I love the single player of games, especially if the story/setting is good like in KCD. Building multiplayer will take time and push the release date further. Also, without a story I do not think I will enjoy the multiplayer at all. For instance, I’ve finished GTA V without playing other games but did not spend more than an hour in multiplayer mode.

I am not saying everyone should like the single player. But for me this game is all about the story telling which is much better when done in single player. The inclusion of a multiplayer portion of the game, even if the developers want it, would not be feasable to build for act I.

Well Multiplayer grand scale battles would be amazing and with the amount of funds this game has received it wouldn’t be difficult to do, and I’d wait for it but don’t give false hopes for it, its a terrible business practice. Also GTA V is a very bad example to compare great multiplayer to because of the rampet hackers apperantly controlling all. So I wouldn’t care for it in that game , but at least they thought about the players and added that option for private worlds and public worlds and allowed for sandbox mode and battle modes, same should be added to this game the the millions they have received already and sales. I do agree I may have been to harsh to disregard the game complete for the reason of no MP and singleplayer story may be pretty damn good but we have agreed some form of MP is required

It would be perfect to have a possibility to create your own landscape, build your own house, develop your own village, town, castle with friends. And burn enemy settlements to the ground, possibly

I’m not interested in combat and warfare much, though. I’d welcome rather recreation of medieval environment and life in general…

For me, this is a priority even in single player. If I stand next to a house in a game, I’m usually thinking how to buy it, redevelop or expand it, furnish it. Settle it by myself, or rent it to other NPCs or players and so on… very much like old good The Guild…

If GTA V is a bad example, I would look for some better ones, more fitting to the rpg genre. Like the awesome multiplayer modes of Witcher III, Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

We never promised a multiplayer mode to the game. It would be nice to have one, but this is not so easy as you think it is. The timing is very important in our combat system, and timing does not fit well with bad internet connections.

Yes all good games but they don’t offer more until the next game roles around, it would be awsome if there was a game like game like ARC Evolved but medieval only. So I’m guessing y’all tryed but someone had a poor connectiong and as a whole team y’all gave up?

this game will be nothing like arc. It is not like Mount and blade either.

its has always been intended to be and advertised as a singlepayer, story based, open world rpg.

its not they developers attempted and failed to make multiplayer, its the have no intention of making multiplayer it is not the experience they set out to create.

Nope, we don´t gave up. But our idea was not to make the beste MMORPG of all times, but to make an immersive storydriven realistic historic mediaeval rpg.
And Story, at least a story in our scale would not fit well with multiplayer. So the game would be very different, if it would be a multiplayer game at all. This does not mean the game would be worse or something, but it would be very different to our idea. Multiplayer and Coop would be a great bonus to the game, but sadly our team is relatively small compared to other projects, and so is our budget wich leads to our rescources. Your example of GTA5: They had 265.000.000$ Budget, Skyrim had 85.000.000$ Budget.
I can not say exactly how big our budget is, but it is WAY… WAY smaller.
So we have to focus on our ideas, and at the moment it is not possible to us to make a multiplayer feature bonus to our game, even if it would be a great idea.
Maybe it will be possible in the future. If the game is successful, investors will have less risks to give us money. More money means more rescources. And with more rescources we are able to develop more of our ideas, and maybe even a bonus like a coop-multiplayer part. But for now: it is not possible.

Omg  nobody ever promised multiplayer. I am sorry, but why you pay for a game, without even reading the basics about it. No offense.

You backed the game on Baron Tier without even looking up what you are paying for O.o

You better include some racing cars as well, I mean, today I found out car racing is not planned and I have been pretty disapointed since. There are no decent car racing games on PC and you had perfect opportunity to bring something special to the genre with this budget! I don’t understand why there is so much hype if the game doesn’t even have basic features like car racing. I guess you got lazy, you better get your sh*t together and include at least few racing cars, or the game is going to flop badly!

Immediately after seeing screenshots I knew it would be awesome to have some rallye features, if you ignore this customer feedback, me and my friends will give you 0 on metacritic!

wow, looks so good like the game you always wanted… but then there isent multiplayer… I really hope you add it so me and some friends can enjoy this game and i know many many many more will do aswell! PS.p If you are a user and going to reply on this saying: Why you want multiplayer or Why does it matter if it is multiplayer or na… Well there are many diffrent persons and minds in this world and the majority when it comes to these kinda games that has a great multiplayer potential is about playing and sharing the experience with others… i feel this wont be nearly as big as it could with a good multiplayer in it. Then the players make more out of the game and will tell others about it and it will spread like fire in dry grass. Reign of Kings had potential, and got decent big. this is 10 times better in everyway ive seen so far. You still ask why? Well not everyone moves away from the campfire to eat their food by themself you feel me?

Good grief it’s a single player game! How awful now that I don’t have to deal with dipshits fucking up my game. But seriously this game doesn’t even need multiplayer. Let the developers plant their feet on the ground and get this right before having to add more to it. Enjoy the game we will receive.

I think it should be called Coats of Arms.

This forum is so salty I feel my sodium intake rising. How does single player only mean bad? The Game will be able to do so much more without the pesky having to calculate everyone’s moves at once. I don’t see people complain about Elder Scrolls games except for the MMO one. That game was not really able to do anything truly interesting because of having to be online. So before you go “oh It is only going to be single player so it must suck” maybe try to have a brain first.
