Multiple Difficulty Settings

Search “Immersive Balance” on the Nexus. I’ve only been using it for a bit, but it’s an improvement.

It’s jusy a way to get by until things get balances. Basically dress to look cool and use a mediocre weapons. Don’t worry about upkeep or using skill points unless you want to. With how many quest bugs there are combat/difficulty balance will probably get put on hold

IMO Dark Horizons is the better balancing mod. This one also includes the increase random encounters & NPC spawns in the Road Encounters mod.

I find it hard anyone can consider this game easy. I suggest you take all your armor off and run off to the nearest Cumin soldier. Fight them, with whatever weapon of choice minus a bow, and see how easy it is as you get killed in one, two, or even three hits. If you succeed, you’re good because you understand the concept. I can vouch for myself by saying I’d be among those who die. I find that the only reason fights are easier for me is because of the armor, and the fact the bow can work excellent with one-shot kills to the head. Minus all this, I firmly believe it’s hard.

I have surmised that, despite my objection, I am in agreement with you considering the difficulty setting. This game did not come out made for everyone, but now that the community has spoken, Warhorse has a chance to make it for everyone. On its difficulty now, one could easily put in place an actual “save anytime” mechanic. This mechanic should be offered to be turned off for realism, and the higher difficulty you go, the less exceptions you should receive. Perhaps even making it harder to survive without food or sleep on higher difficulties? Regardless, your suggestion offers multiple opportunities for inclusion with the community at large, and offers improvement with the game.

I am currently doing a naked run. After lvl 8 with a merchants sword all bandits and cumens die in one hit. All you have to do is position you’re self if there is multiple targets. The first bandit camp of the main story when you fight runt was literally he takes I riposte he died. I am naked with nothing but a sword.

I have thought about playthroughs like that. And I am In no way saying it should be adarksouls clone in terms of difficulty. I’m just saying no matter how good of a player you are things should not be dying in one hit, especially when you gimp you’re self which they are. Currently after you get level 8 or so you can take on an entire camp solo. 1 hitting everything, no bow usage. But you’re issue is you see something you don’t agree with and then put words into ppl moth. I spoke on the fact that everything dies after 1 hit once you hit mid level reguardless of gear and combat perks.

Haven’t had the chance to try that one. I might in the future.

Have you been allocating skillpoints that help with combat/attack/defense? Not saying that’s going to be the game changer just wondering.

I have not, I’ve taken perks that lower STR etc… when I can for the naked playthrough

Yeah I haven’t taken any skill points either for combat other than the combos

If you parry the game becomes very easy. The problem is that the game is very hard at first but like level 8 it just becomes too easy. I liked how hard it was at first. My first cuman I got my ass kicked but as time went on it got easier and easier. But like within a few hours of playing aha. Which shouldn’t happen.

Haven’t got that far yet!

Just had an error where I tried to save after deleting my saves, lost all progression as it froze up. Had to restart. Hah.

I dont what your doing but im 10 and still die all the time. my armor is ok everybody calls me a knight. hate stopping to fight die all time…

I recently posted a couple vids of me fighting and easily defeating the Wayfaring Knight (the tough one, not the coward), and Cpt Bernard as a low level with low level stats with cheap gear. The only difference is that with low level stats and cheap gear, it takes more hits to defeat high level enemies, but it’s not necessarily more difficult in terms of needing to make very few to no mistakes. Now Cumin soldiers… they’re a cakewalk.

Here’s a big problem I see with the difficulty: the enemies don’t do anything advanced like feint. And even if they did, you can’t be punished for falling for a feint, or you can’t be punished for mis-timing a perfect block or a master strike. Any failed attempts at perfect blocks or master strikes will just lead to a normal block. And the funny thing is that they can keep the damage scaling the same, they can keep the AI the same (even though it really needs work), but if you were to assign perfect blocks and master strikes to a different key, the game would be that much harder. There is no punishment for mistakes.

Personally, I find it hard with mouse and keyboard to do what you said.

At first I thought I wanted difficulty setting options because it was too hard but now the game is ridiculously too easy
