New stretch goal(s)

Firearms: there will some, in later acts, but not in the Act 1.

As a strecth goal, I would like to get even more map space for roaming (and getting lost), and even more eye candy - trees in blossom, a visit to opulently decorated church with a bunch of fat monks singing and incense burning, foggy meadow with insects buzzing and birds singing.
And there can always be still more famous voice actors: Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Spacey have done voice acting in support of independent projects in the past, including a videogame (Weaver)

waver and spacey have never done voice work for independent projects, only big studio productions that pay them a lot. call of duty from activision and alien isolation sponsored by sega.

stretch goals need to be realistic.

Spacey did voice work for Moon - indie flick on a shoestring budget

OK, this thing about owning house/castle/land and being a fucking royalty keeps popping up here. I wouldn’t write it otherwise, but having all those voices going into the other direction, I feel the need to counterbalance it and say it out loud that I don’t want to own any house, don’t want to become a baron or a knight, and don’t need to have my flag up on a castle wall.

I really love that this will be a game about a common guy trying to make his way through a medieval Bohemia. I hope that his influence on the whole royal brother issue won’t be too overstretched. I will enjoy mostly the reality of common folk’s life. I don’t need another opus on royal living - there is enough of that in literature and movies, and to some extent games too.

@ snejdarek

If im not wrong Henry will become a knight during the campaign.
So if i guess right i hope you will not be too desapointed

Kevin Spacey is one of the best paid actors so it’s really an unrealistic wish. Just Activision was able to paid him that huge pile of money to get his whole acting for the game

I’m with @NippleOintment and @snejdarek here. Don’t want to be a nobleman or royalty. That would make an interesting game, but only if the game had been designed with that in mind in the first place.

I would much rather have any extra money put back in to the game’s setting. In to NPC AI, exploration, eye candy, etc.

im i the only one thinking it could be cool to be able to play the game not as Henry but an other one.
No campaign
full sand box. Could enhance to longevity of the game.

I just dont know how much work is needed to do this but from my point of view it could be great to have it.

i think it would be good for the game to have it so u can have the choice on whether or not u can own a house/castle/land, and also if u so chose to become a knight, earl or even a king. i think it would lead to having more side quests, possibly more quests that would determine if u should keep your title or not, and would ultimately lead to more gameplay.

I think it’s safe to say you will not have the choice to become king or other high nobility/royalty.

Still i think it would great for the game to dive into it even if its only for a second to maintain historical accuracy cause I’m sure there were kings that weren’t meant to be kings and common folk that did whatever they could to get up to knight or further up the chains of life.

It would have been very abnormal in general. As for knights, the ones who would become knights tended to train for it from a young age by going through the stages of being a page and a squire before knighthood. That wasn’t something that was all that frequent for commoners because it was expensive.

General reference: http://www.lordsandladies.org/steps-to-knighthood.htm

and what would be the point of being king for 1 second? what is this need to be king?

unless histroical records show a henry of scalice ruled for 1 second, this is insane thing to say.

I was only saying it would be great to have the opportunity for it to happen, i haven’t seen a game like this and i doubt one like this would be done for a long time afterwards, And I believe the elder scrolls online have some sort of king system where a player is king for a time but then loses it, and it doesn’t matter how long you rule as king what matters is what you do as king that matters. also i looked this up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_shortest-reigning_monarchs

I’m sorry, but with what Warhorse is going for with this game, becoming king just does not seem to be in the cards. It wouldn’t fit.

born as a humble blacksmith, impoverished, orphaned - and then becoming a knight, shaping the events in the Holy Roman Empire throne succession struggle leading to major battles, and even talking to kings - that is a pretty remarkable story for its time. A far more likely career is that you would turn out to be a blacksmith, a soldier of fortune, a highway robber, peasant, charcoal maker or a handyman in the flour mill.

KCD want to be realistic medieval game. You simply cannot become noble or king and own anything, it’s just huge nonsense. I would recommend you Mount and Blade, there you can play for anything you wish.

As its nearly 5 bucks left to reach goal, I decided to toss in 5 bucks to help and donate 25 extra when payday arrives, enjoy lads. Will update proof too

EDIT:
Done.

I know they mentioned that your character wouldn’t be allowed to own land or a building but I think it would be pretty cool if you could own a castle and outfit it with a personal guard and an interior style. Perhaps that is something to consider with a new stretch goal?
