I actually suppose it will be released on time. In case the alpha was delayed they would probably informed us already, wouldn’t they? I mean, it is supposed to apper the day after tomorrow.
On the other hand if it is delayed i won’t be annoyed. I will understand they are unable to deliver the alpha game segment in the state they wanted yet.
Yeah, the game really should be releasing when ready, but open alpha and beta phases is always important, because more people playing the game and reporting bugs, development may be even better! I want to play the alpha yes, and do not expect a game without errors now, of course not, but when I go to play the alpha and reporting errors, as well, and I can have fun with the game, while I may be helping developers in a certain way, got it? 
Yes I can’t wait either.
There won’t have much in the game but I don’t care I just want to be walking around in the village and fields and finally feel like I’m in a real medieval era.

However, I will thoroughly enjoy the landscape and visuals, they seem impressive on video, most likely even more in person. And perhaps better on DK2 if I can get it working.

Guys, alpha is just a tech demo ±. Do not expect a full game. Alpha like DayZ SA isn’t exactly alpha. It’s a buggy full game with less content pretending to be alpha to justify all the bugs and crap performance. True story. And don’t hate me, i love DayZ SA with my whole heart.

Alpha is software which isn´t feature complete - so I guess DayZ SA is qualified for that. Isn´t it?

depends on who you ask. The terms alpha/beta aren’t as set in stone as some might think. 
Insofar, I would go with what the specific dev team defined under the respective terms.
