Patch 1.4 Impressions?

Anybody have anything good to say about this patch? lol Its almost done downloading.

You seem more neutral so I’m looking forward to your impressions. If you have a bunch of halberds in town from before will you report back if there’s still piles of them or if there’s anything we can do with them besides move them (sell etc) ?

Sure thing! Won’t be til tomorrow night. But fortunately I’ve been mostly bug free the whole way through since KCD’s release. It’s crazy to me that so many people on here have legitimate game breaking bugs. I’ve had none.

I’m still debating on a new game or loading a previous save to test all this over the weekend. I want to focus on one though. It’ll probably be a previous save.

Until 1.4 I havent experienced annoying Bugs… Sure there were glitches and some minor bugs but there were no problems with quest… Until now unfortunately

Sorrry for stupid formatting, this forum engine, its strange.

  • Skip itnro mod is not working with 1.4, unlimited save mod was updated.
  • It looks like that after month my save is finally working again…
  • Re-Loading is much faster
  • Take all items form chest no more crashing the game
  • no more strange freeze and looping cursor during loading
  • no quest updates or changes after load - it could be good thing, monastery quest is still between active ones…
  • Still not Steal icon - on hot items in global chest and there is still stupid Steal option for them
  • Quest items with weight could be still moved to horse or removed from inventory - Ulrichs documents, Engravers document, Letter from Vranik
  • Im not aware any missing item from my inventory or chest, Bianca’s ring probably is not returned to inventory too.
    • Update: St. George Sword disappear, could be found in treasure chest, which has Hard lock.
  • I have got for now only 3 generic Wayfarers, no other random encounter.
  • Lots - too much generic Wayfarers, even at night.
  • Still 2 guards spawned together.
  • Im not using Fast traveling.
  • Had problem with insert item to horse, he had 190/(nothing) weight and fix it, through remove 1 item - 190 / 521 , now its working.
  • Text in cure Merhojed quest is missleading, i have to wait subtask, so i waited and waited and nothing, i had do to talk Melichar…
  • Olena in Talberk is ressurected.
  • Hare hunt quest in Talberk is still not available for me, Huntsman doesnt have these lines… I my reputation is good.
  • Stupid overeating from pots is still there
  • Quest which failed because of bugs - like Waldesians and Nasty habits, Weeds are not restarted…
  • Warfare skill no can reach LVL 20 - was bug at LVL 19
  • No hairstyle icon doesnt have a timer, effect is very long…
  • Ginger is still in the woods and he said before that he we teach me something about horses, still nothing…
  • In the stats i have 1 Jail sentence - im not aware of it
  • All my Autobrews where reset - its annoying - it took me 1 hour to enable all autobrews again!
  • Neuhoff - horses of soldiers from earlier quest are still here!
  • Got fast travel encounter, but problem is taht after it, i cant save, i have to go to bed and sleep to unlock save option again
  • Balanced Diet perk is working, at least icon is here again, i have both Attributes at 20 os i cant see a bonus +1, but because fast travel cant be canceled and in game is still overeating from stupid pots - i would be hard to keep the bonus
    -Some quest giver markers are still broken - Inkeepers, Hunter Nicholas, Kuman king - fighting quest - already done
  • Fighting activities tasks are still endless

Quests- spoilers:

  • Found new Quest bug -in the cloister i got into monastery after main story, because i still have active quest there - i was not attacked or catched by Circulator - that is nice, but there are some invisible dialog options with Nevlas - there are working but not drawn on screen… And i really not know what i have to do to get rid of that in Cloister quest - i have 2 options, eat with others and tell Nevlas about bad thing in monastery - i already now cellar dring and other, but he not have such option in Dialog, i also want to help him to be next boss, but no options for that either.

  • Erik in tent interrogation - i have level or fight skill 20, he has 14 - i have perk to show it, but always failing in question about how many men has enemy…

  • end of story - WTF, is worst than Michael Bay wow effects stories …

  • I killed Rapota, byt now i found him in some bandids camp and bandids are frendly

  • I killed Wolfin, but he is respawned…

  • Still cant start Hare hunt quest, its not available at Nicholas

    Already quick review: Game is now playable with my 160h save, but some easily fixable bugs are still there and that sucks… 300 + 200 bugs fixed and probably few hundreds left…

    Performance - the is still main problem - in consistence through scenes, i have i normal game 40-60 fps, with my setting, but during some mass story scenes i have 15,20 FPS - its annoying because of that lump with settings… developers really need auto decrease details during such scenes and give us - stable 30 FPS in every moment.

    I dont understand why we have to do such list, why developers couldn’t release it…

If people don’t over-write their saves Warhrose should be able to hotfix the main quest fail bug.

@heroesandvillians67 if you do decide to start anew, at least load an old save and check out Rattay’s situaton if you don’t mind.

Sure thing! From what I understand, pre 1.3.4, that designated NPC’s were supposed to gather and bury them at set times during the day. (Not sure how true that is). But during 1.3.4 I did notice Halberds disappearing from the ground). So maybe that’s how WH set it up until this patch.

I still have a Rattay save kind of early on. So walk the town this weekend and see if anything bogs Rattay down. But like I’ve said before, I’ve been super lucky to have played most of KCD bug free…and Halberd free lol.

How is the Loading at the arrival of Fast Travel into Towns and Random Encounters?

Wondering the same thing since this is what most people were complaining about …until today haha. So let’s take that as a good sign.

Ironically I didn’t mind that so much. It was (on PS4) the terrible blurry LOD’s I was stuck with half the time in Rattay due to the halberd pileup. Well that and the frame rate was bad there the more time went on.

I grabbed it on PC and YOW, what a difference. I could finally see stuff in gorgeous detail. Herbs were so much easier to pick out and see. Instead of a little blurry blob it was real looking flowers lol.

Im on the PS4 Pro, But im thinking of picking it up on PC for mods… Im hoping for a detailed Vampire mod, Maybe 3rd person

Seems like a odd desing since you could always just programm them to despawn after a certain time. Do you have any sources for this you can post if you dont mind?

Sorry 6 AM, here so i cant tell you more…

So for the Halberd thing, they are still on the ground. The game isn’t freaking out on my end. I did notice boards lying on the ground now on top of puddles. That’s new.

I only tested very shortly. I tried to get a haircut at the bathhouse outside of Rattay and my game froze. First bug I’ve really experienced. I’ll try it again, but I may do a fresh install of the game if it doesn’t work.

Okay, so I’m not the only one with the haircut bug. There’s a thread about it. Rattay is all good though on my end. It hiccups a little bit, but nothing game breaking.

Devs are curretnly working on main quest failure bug, so lets hope they will overcome it. I send them mail with my saves, we’ll see about that
