Please, suggest a medieval studies discussion board in the web

I know there are some very knowledgeable people around here, but this community is more concentrated on discussing the game. Could anyone, please, suggest an English-speaking community, where an amateur Middle Ages enthusiast could hang around and that is amicable towards newbies?

There are several groups on facebook who creating medieval stuff, explaining or investigating

Great idea! I would love to find such a board.
NOT on facebook, however.

Well… Facebook is not my cup of tea really…

One that has been around forever is the Armour Archive

Obvious focus is armor, but discussions frequently cover all other aspects of medieval life. With over 20 years of discussions, the search function is your friend, but the wealth of information is unparalleled. Cannot recommend this site enough.

My Armoury is another board, focused primarily on Medieval and Renaissance weapons. If you want to talk shop about sharp & shiny, they’re the ones to do it with.

Not a discussion board, but a great group of knowledgeable people… La Belle Compagnie is a living history group focused on 1337-1453.

Any additional sites I’ll have to supply once I’m home and have access to my non-work bookmarks.

try this website called 4chan

I miss the days when all the history buffs on here would argue.

Nothing like the carrot thread.

I wish I had a place to suggest but Here is the only place Ive ever had truly deep historical conversations on the medieval period.

Wish we could have topical discussions about medieval life, culture, etc here. Oh well.

Well, if so, then maybe we could ask the administrators of this board to create a separate section for us?
