Ok well I decided to install the patch as I wasnāt playing it anyway due to some issues iād been having with the game.
The first thing I can say is that texture streaming has been significantly improved, at least on PS4 pro. The more detailed textures on buildings are visible from a greater distance and load in far more rapidly.
I need to do further testing to see if pop-in has been improved, but Iām hoping it has been been returned to what it was in the day one patch.
Something I am concerned about is that I have not had any random encounters since installing the patch. I did a fair amount of fast travelling and normal travel by horse and didnāt encounter one person on the road. Normally I would have expected to pass by 4 or 5 people in the distance I travelled. I expect this is the same issue that PC users have been complaining about since they had the patch a week ago. Hopefully the devs can release a hotfix soon because iād prefer not to wait two weeks or more before the random encounters are reactivated.
Do you still have the St.GeorgeĀ“s sword? i heard it dissapears from the game after the patch

Yes the pop-in will always be present, but for me patch 1.2 made it far worse (on ps4 pro).
I havenāt had the chance to test pop-in yet, I define pop in as the spawning/visibility of objects as you move through the world. Texture streaming is a different thing, and that is something that has significantly improved for me on PS4 Pro with patch 1.3.
I need to do further testing to see if pop-in has changed, I have footage and screenshots I took with each of the previous patch versions of the game (1.1 and 1.2) so I use those as a point of comparison.
What is this big difference in the size? For someone is only 14GB or 18GB, but for someone is more than 20GB?

For me, I only played an hourā¦But everything seemed improve. Randoms are back, bro
20 is bigger than 18, 18 is bigger than 14. My 8 inch is bigger than your 4.5 inch

Anyone know if this patch will stop the constant crashing opening your menus and map?
I gave up trying to install yesterday night (15.225 GB). When I resumed the install today, it started from 0%, but the patch is now 12.539 GB!
it is because yesterday you probably managed to download that missing part. it happens when you pause the download and then continue it
