@KCD_Killa, I’m not so sure if you have the best TV for HDR if you mean HDR is quite a gimmick… I highly suggest that you calibrate your TV and adjust the settings etc for a better picture. Otherwise, HDR isn’t for everybody. Some people prefer 720p and 60 fps, others want steady 30fps with 1080p etc. The trends is definitely appreciating HDR and it is the TV industry’s #1 selling point.
For me, HDR felles like the leap from HD Ready (720p) to Full HD (1080p). There were allot of people complaining that they didn’t see any huge difference etc, which I find odd, so I’m not surprised that people say the same about HDR. The funniest part of people complaining about HDR are those who try to watch HDR content on SDR capable screens, where all the colors are washed out. 4K (2160p) on the other hand I can reason with as plenty of blind tests show that people have a hard time to difference as long as the viewing distance is “normal” and screen size above 55’’.
