I broke this quest when I assigned pickman to carrying shit. He didnt even sound mad about that job.
Atleast add the item to his inventory so we can pickpocket it out or add a sixth piece hidden somewehere in the world. Otherwise we must carry some 4 random quest items cluttering our inventory, which we can never get rid of.

Yes! It would be nice to be able to finish this quest if you DID NOT GIVE Pickman water carry job.
Be able to pickpocket it or Mugg him for it or steal it where he sleeps
You can finish this quest without Pickman piece. There are six pieces in the game and you need only five.
Search in the forum for pieces location.
I have 4/5 of them and an internet search says there is only 5.
A search here came up with all that I already have and Pickman have not checked the contents of the monastery blacksmiths.
One person I have not Interrogated/search/pickpocketed was Zack At this point in my current run( really late game). he doesn’t have it or already got it from him.
Care to list all 6?
And I still think it would good to get it from Pickman by hook or by crook if you give him latrine duty or he doesn’t cough it up anyway.
