I tried the archery contest trick. I had to keep asking for a new contest (advanced level) a number of times (4th contest I think) before the Armourer joined. (For the person who didn’t have the armourer show up, just do another round). The Armourer did indeed go open his shop after! So it seems to have worked. I did not have time to see if this solution lasts into the next day. Will report. Either way, good find MiddleAgedHenry.

Anybody who has ever ordered armour from a real life armourer knows that they pretty much sleep all day too.
Just one more bit of realism added to the game.
Now, if you could just order in stock armour from them, and have them ship it to your house and have it arrive a year after the ship date, that would be even closer to reality.

Since this is a mod, I dont think so
Since 3 ingame days the blacksmith for armor in the Rattay townhall cant be entered without lockpicking my way through. I sneaked in through the backdoor and checkd if its just buggy, but there is only a guard who sents me away as soon i enter the room where the merchant/smith usually is and the smiths assistant.
Someone else got this problem? How to fix it, i tried it on 3 ingame days on different times of the day. I need this guy back to buy my stuff…
I have this problem too. I make sure he is the first one I go to when I get into town. He will leave right after you get there.
At which o clock ingame time are you going to meet him? I got the feeling that somewhere around 8 and 9 am the merchants are activ.
Anytime after 8. You have to do everything you want went you first talk to him or he won’t have the option again.

I was doing the godliness quest and took time to sneak around and found him up and in his shop about one - two am.

Did they fix this in 1.42?
Same here and i am rich without armor even shoes.The developers must fix this bug.

im vanilla and still have this issue
I have found for me on PC that he keeps later hours…like 12PM to at least 8PM. post 1.42
