One thing I really wish we could do in this game is have more than one “personal storage” trunk - namely for the quick storage of several gear sets. If it could be added with new DLC, or an expansion, that’s fine. Alternatively, the ability to create tabs in your loot chest to sort your gear would be great.
I’m playing a deeply immersive version of Henry who is a consummate scout/spy, with several outfits for all sorts of different occasion - and it can be very time consuming going through 1 single chest to pick out the right sets of gear. I fully acknowledged this playstyle is not for everyone and it borders a bit on Neurotic- but I’m having a blast with this sort of deep role play, especially since I’m on my 3rd playthrough.
If I could store the entire sets in 1 single container for fast “loot alling” and equipping, that would be amazing.
Here’s some sets of gear I have for Henry:
1.) Large battle set - His long sword, his mace, Bow + plenty of arrows, his shield, and full plate armor - used when massive battles happen in the story or any situations where the odds can be 3+ on 1 without much warning. It’s heavy, not very functional outside of pitched combat where there’s no time to loot. As such, I prefer not to use it for general adventuring - as using less inspires more creative approaches to dealing with challenges and is more fun IMHO.
2.) Adventuring Set - My preferred set for side quests/exploring. Consists of a Short Sword/Mace/Bow (no shield) and functional dark non-plate armor that balances protection with suitability, 30- noise for stealth incursions, allows for Light Armor perk to evade attacks and between you and your horse, great for thieving, lots of room for carrying loot. Generally capable of handling anything you come across, though have to be a little strategic with bandit/Cuman camps.
3.) Burgher set - a collection of fine clothing and strategic armor pieces that push Charisma up to 20 - impractical in combat, but looks great to impress. Used when socializing with friendlies or audiences with Lord Hanush, Sir Davish, Sir Radzig or acting as their representatives in towns. Before meeting them or embarking on a quest as their surrogate, clothing will always be properly laundered (for added cha). Always uses the Charisma option in dialogue.
4.) Cuman Set - For infiltrating Cuman ranks/fun of it. With exception of the helms, I love the aesthetic - very oriental and has a great “marauding” feel. It also feels great to use Cuman gear when fighting from Horseback, particularly their bows - not sure why. Goes great with a caparison that matches your caftan.
5.) Robin Hood set - Primarily used for hunting, but has a very men-in-tights feel - no weapons but a short sword and bow, very little protection, but extremely quiet and under 30 pounds for maximum meat storage. Also great for any mischief/banditry where if you’re caught, your plan is to run and not fight.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
