I love cops. Have you ever seen Campus pd? That show made me laugh my ass off. A bunch of idiot collage kids crying when they get tickets or arrested for throwing beer bottles at cop cars.

depends where they hit you really across the chest and you’re going down like a sack of shit as it will block all signals to the brain but possibly kill you although tasers have very little actual current so likely hood of being killed by one is quite low

yes . guns dont work all the time either nothing is 100% in life a drugged up individual may take alot of rounds to put down if he is coming at you fast and hard with a knife there is no 100% you will stop him before he does you harm
Correct a charging attacker could only be stopped with a head or neck shot how ever if you pumped 3-4 rounds into his chest he’s going down eventually. Probably would take about 10-20 seconds. You defiantly have a better chance of stopping him with a gun than a taser.
10-20 seconds is a long time when he is charging at you with a knife
but yes id much rather have a gun in this situation

Which brings me to a story about a women who was raped on a collage campus. She normally packed a pistol and had a cc license but collages don’t let you carry. She was raped one night and the same guy who raped her raped and murdered another girl a few nights later.
She said that if she was allowed to carry she could have ended that man right then and there and the other girl would have been alive.
I wish my state would follow Texas example. When Texas had a major shooting they allowed CC everywhere. Movie theaters, restaurants ect. They haven’t had a deadly shooting since really. Most get stopped. My state how ever decided banning 30 round mags was the answer. Hasn’t really worked out for us.

You have a higher violent crime rate than us though. So rapes, muggings, over all assaults. Our murder rate does not actually tie in with guns it ties in with gangs. We’re quite unique in the fact that 90% of our murders are committed by gang bangers.
same with most countries though nothing unique about it 90% of our murders are gang/drug related .
but our gangs dont have easy access to guns like yours which is where yes your gun laws tie into it

You also have to realize the gangs don’t just go and buy weapons from gun shops. They either get them from across the border or on the black market.
That counts as assault. We have a large drinking culture here and our violent crime rate is still lower.

[/quote] indeed but in a nation where guns are so widely available it becomes easier to steal guns etc and guns find their way onto the black market .
here they believe there is only about 1000 working guns on the black market and these are hired out for hits etc the rest are fake or blanks . and our gun crime statistics dont separate real guns and fake guns .

Not true. Ive never been to the U.K but most Americans come from Europe. The majority being Irish, German, and other European nationalities.

i agree . i have served with a number of female medics who have occasionally came on patrol with us . very good soldiers no different but these are not your average girly girls . when we go out , outside of work they’re girls , get dressed up heck ive even slept with one but they have this abilty to turn into one of the blokes very quickly and can keep up so i see no reason why women cant serve on the front line as long as they pass the same training as i did .
there was a big argument here for them to make SAS/SBS selection easier after a number of recruits died due to exhaustion during training but every time the MOD thankfully has not even entertained the idea . they are the best for a reason and you either get on their level or go do something else simple
