You are correct here however in 2013 you chnaged the definition to the same as our and as a result got a 41.7% increase

Judging from this the Czech Republic has the same definition as UK. But then the statistics would make UK look like a pretty fucking dangerous place compared to my country.
And the statistics are actually skewed against my country, because here attempted crime is recorded in the same bracket as finished crime. For example if you shoot on someone with kill intent and don’t hit, it is still recorded in the statistics as murder. (I was looking into the statistics some time ago and it took me quite some time to realize why we have 200 murders but only about 90 murder victims).
which is the issue when you try and compare a nations crime stats solely on the numbers because different countries collect data in different brackets etc.
but at the end of the day if you feel safe where you live then thats good enough , if you dont you need to ask yourself the question of why are you living there ?

That happened in Poland couple of years ago. There was some University street party and neonazis ran into the street and started beating random students. Police came in large numbers with shotguns. A cop thought he had rubber bullets loaded. But he had the real deal. Cop thought he’s aiming at a nazi, but his aim was off. Couple of dead students
