@Skoruligr this thread is a dark place. Our greed caused us to dig too deep, and we awoken something evil in the darkness.
Mr. Bean is my fucking hero, best show ever.
have you ever watched johnny English ? the man is brilliant
Well, fuck that. No “even ifs”. The fucker poached, he deserves to be mocked.
I wonder what kind of success rate RPG 75 TB would have. With the Kurds and Syrian Free Army now having them, we might find out soon (until now it was only Czech army, Mexican Marines and Polish Special Forces). The 29 is supposed to pierce 750mm, 75 is supposed to pierce 630mm, but it seems that the numbers on 75TB are nowhere to be found, but my guess is that it will be north of 850mm.
? I never said he didn’t. I said if the hunt was legal and for a good cause he would still be in hot water.
like i said earlier.
The armor on an m1 Abrams is the equivalent to 600 mm of steel. But since we’ve since upgrade from the m1 to the m1a1 and now the m1a2 i can only imagine how strong the armor is now. But its classified so we will never know.
Yes, although it’s been a while since ive seen it. The second one is kinda crap but i still got a good laugh at several parts.

hold up hold up !!
UPDATE just looked into this "frontal penetration on a challenger 2 wasnt the front as such . it was the frontal UNDERSIDE not the main armoured front
August 2006 in al-Amarah, an RPG-29 capable of firing a tandem-charge damaged the underside of a Challenger 2, detonating ERA in the area of the driver’s cabin. The driver lost part of his foot and two more of the crew were also injured, but the driver was able to reverse 1.5 mi (2.4 km) to an aid post. The incident was not made public until May 2007; in response to accusations, the MoD said “We have never claimed that the Challenger 2 is impenetrable.” Since then, the ERA has been replaced with a Dorchester block and the steel underbelly lined with armour as part of the ‘Streetfighter’ upgrade as a direct response to this incident.
so conclusion the frontal armour of the challenger has NEVER been penetrated
Hmm that’s not what the article or the crew says.
what was your article ?
"I recall seeing it [the RPG-29 being fired] and thinking, ‘Oh Christ, that’s bad.’
He saw it being fired, so i don’t see how it hit the bottom of the tank. the only way i could see it making a direct hit on the bottom is if the tank was going over a steep hill the the bottom was exposed. But if that were the case he wouldn’t see the rpg being fired.
every article says the same the tank was hit on the front ERA and hull not the doncaster armour of the main front . the tank was coming over some sort of ramp
Still the only times Abrams were damaged, was when they were hit in the rear of the bottom.
The MoD has finally confirmed that the tank’s armour was breached last August and has said that an investigation was conducted to discover why the ERA appears to have failed.
so the doncastor armour was never breached the reactive armour protecting the Hull was breached and the round penetrated the hull
i imagine like the challenger you upgraded the underside of the tank now to protect better against IED’s
and try the rest of the quote
: "I recall seeing it [the RPG-29 being fired] and thinking, ‘Oh Christ, that’s bad.’
"As it slammed into the hull, I was picked up by the shock wave of the blast and thrown against the back wall of the turret. The explosion singed my eyebrows and burnt my face slightly. The tank was full of acrid smoke and fumes. I became aware of you screaming, ‘I’m hit, I’m hit. My foot’s off.’
as for the RPG-29 that hit the abrams
the u.s. tank was hit from the rpg in the 3rd skirt from the front which is not a ballistic skirt. it went through the skirt and hull, throught the rear of the gunners seat and stopped just under the gun. the gunner was injured but the tank commander was still able to engage threats
so actually quite similar
