This happens to me at least once in two months. It is pretty fucked up when you are fully lucid and can’t move your body. Even more fucked up when you are semilucid, are trying to move your body, and meanwhile you are dreaming and you are not sure what is a dream and what is actually coming to you through the sences.
I actually learned to break through it. With enough concentration I am able to break through and get my limbs moving and that in turn wakes me up completely. I always feel pretty fucked up, though.

FYI my GF finally started learning for firearms license exam. The sooner she will pass the sooner Ruger LCR .357 will be at home Still, she ain’t taking it seriously, she could just go in a week if she sat on it, but I think it will be more like three months.

Anyways, .357 will be most probably reserved to carry and .38s will be used for practice in the gun.

Yeah I have never experienced sleep paralysis, from what I have heard very few people enjoy it. Its been reported for centuries and commonly associated with demonic taunting (shadow people) and abductions.
I have had this experience with sleep on a regular basis fully dreaming yet fully consciously aware of my physical surroundings, its almost like split conscious perception.
With enough intention and focus anything can be mastered. I have read about it having a hangover like affect, kind of the same thing you get when you are forced up out of bed but not fully awake.
Theres actually been some research in the past few years diving into the neuro chemistry of sleep, and sleep disorders.
