Come on! This thread is not hidden for fun. Not everything here is nasty of course, but some post can be offensive to some people, and if there would be someone wrong among them, this could end up in a bad situation. And thats why this thread is hidden and should stay hidden. Really, the way of Warhorse is difficult enough, we don´t need more stones in our way.
Making some advertising about the cave in the forum is not the definition of hidden…

Being on visit to my GF’s parents, I went to a nearby range and apart from the usual pistolero stuff had some fun also with Mosin Nagant and vz.58.
Vz.58 was fun, but trying shooting fast with the bolt was the thing 
I think I’m gonna start seriously looking for vz.24 now.
Also the 7.62 from vz.58 seems to recoil less than the 5.58 from AR 15, but maybe that’s because it’s been over a year since I shot AR.

No, its not. This is not hypocrisy. Daniel Vávras personal decisions have nothing to do with the decision to keep the troll cave hidden. A hidden thread is not hidden, if there are links about it everywhere.
This is a hidden thread, not a public thread.
KCD is Daniel Vávra, and for a couple of years, Dan Vávra is and will be KCD. His name sold the game on kickstarter and he still personifies it, he is the face of the company, he is what you are selling to the public as much as the game itself.
Saying that Vávra’s personal quest of saying whatever comer to his mind out loud is any different from what is happening at this part of the forum, or that its impact on the game may be any different, is another hypocrisy for you.

I think that hiding it is enough to let you say “hey, this part of the forum is necessary to keep the weirdos and psychopaths away from the rest of the crowd, but we keep it hidden so that others are not bothered by it, we don’t condone it in any way and we did what we could to keep christian extremist like @sirwarriant and war criminals like @thedivineinfidel away from our moderate and moderated discussion.”
But killing links that now and then on appropriate occasions lead here is a step too far.
I understand that opinion, but I don´t agree to it. Its not a step to far to forbid links into this thread in public forum. The idea of a hidden thread is to keep it hidden. Making advertising about it in the forum is not what we want.
We were discussing of what doing with this thread. Main opinion was to close and delete it. In my opinion this would be a step too far, so I came with the solution that links in this thread would be not allowed anymore, and we have to keep this thread hidden. In my opinion this is better than close and delete, this was the compromise.
Yep, there was closed mod discussion about future of this thread.
The Troll Cave is hidden for a reason. Giving away invites defies that.

Part of the deal of pay-rolling your game through my contribution was access to forum. I understand that some rules must be kept and I didn’t weep when I was blocked when I posted - albeit discussion relevant - picture of ISIS fighters with heads chopped off (FYI that in a forum to a game which will have a fair share of gore, or at least that is to be expected since realism was promised).
You made an off-topic part of the forum, but then start deleting unwanted comments for being off topic.
So an off-topic thread was made in off topic part of the forum. That still wasn’t enough for you, so you made that part of the forum hidden.
But that also wasn’t enough. Now and then someone may have (not me) posted a link to this hidden part - at least I haven’t seen too many of these posts - so that the debate here can gain some traction apart from the usual “Brits are cocksucking colonizers with bad teeth” and “Americans are bunch of imbecile rednecks with no education”. So in your pursuit of political correctness you forbade posting of these links.
On one hand you preach about how you love the community and want it to be a lively one with people of various backgrounds being able to talk whatever they want (why the fuck else would you make OFF TOPIC category if not for that purpose) but then when the community really emerges you just shut it down.

It´s not about the status quo. If the status quo would stay the way, we don´t would have problem about this. But we expect new members here in this community soon.
You are free to talk about different topics on the forum. Even controversial political topics are fine, as long as it stays on topic. And if you want some member to be here in the troll cave, invite him by PM.
by all means keep it hidden , but stopping people publicly inviting others to engage in this group is outrageous .

Sorry, about that. I did answer in a wrong way. Yes, the solution about the links was my idea. But this idea came up to rescue this thread from beeing deleted. And it was not my idea to delete this thread.
This is what I had in mind as I was typing in the answer to your post. I don´t started this thing. Sorry for mixing things up here. I should have thought more about my answer.
Anyway, the solution is that new links to this thread are not allowed anymore in public forum.
