I used an acetylene torch for the polyns (knee armor) but other than that I worked it cold. The forge I have access to is a small propane furnace meant for making knives and small tools, we don’t have a big enough forge for armor.

Forging has always been something that has interested me, ive actually made several golf clubs swords in my time, masterpieces, able to slice cleanly through plate. :smile:

so at last the UK government has realised how stupid our laws are in terms of police shooting dead criminals .

you may of heard about it , about a week ago a specialist armed gang unit conducting a raid on a turkish mafia/gang who was planning on attacking a prison van to get someone out .

the police stormed in as they were waiting in a car around the corner from the court , a single shot was fired during the raid hitting one of the gang members in the chest .

the police attempted to revive him but he died on the street . a firearm was recovered , later found out to be fake .

As expected an investigation has begun and the officer is suspended from active duty during this . HOWEVER much to the dismay of the Police and government the body that is in charge of investigating these ordered the officer is fucking arrested on possible homicide and manslaughter charges like some sort of criminal .

this has thankfully now started the ball rolling for our laws on this being completely overhauled .

ohh and of course the person shot was an angel , wouldnt ever hurt anyone :slight_smile:

a civilian would get off better …way better .

this is not the courts or police or government that has decided to prosecute . its an independent body which is tasks with investigating any compliant against the police or if they use deadly force .

whatever they recommend in their investigation has to be followed . you would not have this as a civilian , as a civilian it would be up to the police and courts to decide .

the two are scrutinised very differently . needless to say the way the complaints commission has worded its reports so far and conducted it is EXTREMELY unusual . i dont think an officer has EVER been arrested before the conclusion of the investigation . hence the huge backlash . no officer since 1992 has actually been charged as a result of a fatal shooting (58 shootings in that time ) , but they often take ages and have a huge effect on that officers life , which is wrong

the laws are going to be reviewed and likely amended before the new year and bought into force in the new year , with the aim of ensuring an officer wont ever be treated in such a manor again .

I also loved the part of the article, where they said they gave MODERN ANTI TANK MISSILES to unstable fucking rebels. I’m just blown away by the stupidity of western leaders sometimes. Every single time without fail, arming rebels bites us in the ass, yet we continue to do it.

Also have to love how France can’t prevent terrorists form getting weapons, yet their law abiding citizens have no way of getting them.

I will hopefully be shooting the Cz this week, its fucking fantastic gun to shoot, and my Father said he even likes it better than the 1911.

funny enough the guy here was also mixed race/black … and of course the community was up in arms .
completely unaware of the fact the officers involved acting with a great deal of skill and composure . they did not fill his car with holes …they fired a precise SINGLE shot into the mans chest and took down the threat to the public . then begun first aid on the man including CPR on the man , air ambulance was called , they did everything they could to save a man who would have had no issue killing anyone of them officers .

some people just love to hate the police . "they shot him over a replica gun " hows the officer meant to know that in a split second !?

Well i just got back from the range, shot the Cz-75 its a fucking amazing gun. I was in a lane next to some blind kids , and i was kinda terrified. I’m pretty fucking surprised they were even allowed in there. :smile:
