What am I complaining about? I’m providing feedback. If you take constructive criticism as complaining or bitching and moaning, that’s on you
Ok, you win. It’s just a coincidence I have no pop ins or loading problems on my SSD. Guess I’m lucky.
And here’s my final point.
If WarHorse knew this game was going to perform so terribly on consoles it should’ve:
A- Been delayed until it was optimized better
B- Never been released at all.
But certainly not
C- Released at a $60 price point, and then simultaneously release a $10 DLC along with a patch that regresses the game to a pre alpha state.
Guess which one WH picked?
This I can agree with
Then the devs can be blamed
You could say that, but I’m sure being a kickstarter company they were under a lot of pressure to release the game for all platforms.
Console players are rightfully frustrated. I’ve spent $60 on a game, and then $10 on a DLC for a game that is now borderline unplayable.
If console support is becoming impossible then WH needs to nut-up and say it. Stop stringing us along on false hope.
Well now you know how frustrated PC players are 90% of the time when we get a console port lol
You know if I’m a SaaS vendor with a thin client app, I’m gonna be under pressure to be browser agnostic. Now, if I can’t deliver on shitty Edge (or whatever) but I market that I can deliver my app on that browser, that’s on me. Not the browser or its maker
I’m a developer too. Besides, no one uses Edge so screw um if they are… lol jk
Daniel tweeted about Edge that’s why I picked it
Just thinking about making things edge compatible makes me want to go crazy lol
Well that was dumb. Everyone knows how to fix Edge. Download Chrome or Firefox lol
Been looking for a specific post, but can’t find it.
In it WH mentioned that some of the waiting is per design to give the illusion of time passing.
One example mentioned was eating from pots. No world is being build. they only have to set your status to “not undernourished” (more or less).
But I still like it.
Then again, I’m one of those who walk to my horse where I left it. I presume I tied it to some post or tree and therefore whistling for it would be useless.
Whistling doesn’t seem to alert enemies. So I don’t whistle, because I pretend that it would.
For this reason I have made it a habit to put a map-marker where I parked the horse.
it was an explicit reply from him to me. i suggested that WH take the last hour slow down and divide it among the rest of the time period and he didn’t reply. probably another complexity that could break and screw something else up
Understandably there are many players who do feel this game has lots of replayability and content. That’s just because their standards are lower.
LOL yeah that’s it.
If enjoying (battle) respawns means having low standards, so be it
Speaking of battles…remember when there was a bug with the duel between Runt not loading after the video?
I kept having to repeat the battle for Pribyslavitz.
After about the third try, I began to form a strategy on how I should fight this battle, and believe it or not, I was disappointed when I finally got past the Runt bug and had to move on.
I look forward to battles now, especially against Cumans. They seem to be the toughest, though I’ve come up against multiple well equiped knights in a battle that kicked my ass.
The challenge is rewarding.
I wouldn’t want to be able to beat everyone too early in the game or have potions that made things easier.
Too many of the people who make comments here take things too personally or tend to get personal.
Accusing someone of having “low standards” for wanting to replay the game?
Don’t know if you noticed, but this game offers many opportunities to go in different directions with different outcomes.
I look forward to replaying it, and I don’t believe that indicates I have low standards.
I personally think I have more sophisticated standards, since I find most “shootem-up” and racing games inane and boring.
I am sort of a snob when it comes to graphics, which is why I liked the texture mods for Skyrim so much and played it for over 800 hours.
Will I play KCD as much?
Time, DLCs, and mods will be determining factors.
