Some of it for the NHS yes
How do you like the Supreme Court ruling?
Which one?
suppose he means the Brexit-ruining one
Oh, i wasnât aware the Brit bongs had a supreme court
Well I was wrong, it was actually âHigh Courtâ ruling that is likely to be appealed to the âSupreme Courtâ that is likely to be appealed to the EU Court of Justice (oh the irony ).
Well you certainly scared the shit out of me. I was frantically googling for this new supreme court ruling, worried about what bad news i would find.
Well itâs seems the brit bongs are done for. Their courts have become their enemy, and we all know unless there is 35 kilometers of water between the Brit bongs and their enemy, theyâre fucked.
Wasnât the Supreme Court . It will now go to the Supreme Court .
Today was the high court .
Either way Iâm not concerned I have no issue of it having to go through Parliament as it will be passed .
Whatâs wrong with British courts applying British law?
In my or your country, you are a citizen and citizenry have the sovereignty.
@thedivineinfidel is her Majestyâs subject. Parliament holds the sovereignty for as long as the ruler allows it to.
Iâm just being retarded.
Well sadly in my country, there are people who believe in many different âinterpretationsâ of amendments even though the wording doesnât really leave them open to it. (not to mention the men who wrote them were even more clear on their intent and meanings)
Iâm not sure if this is the case in Brit Bong land but who knowâs.
clearly not as the high court just ruled against that very motion .
it is . sadly .
the government in this case were arguing that a Royal prerogative would allow the prime minster to trigger the process to leave the EU without consulting parliament on the matter .
in simple terms the Queen has the authority to give the prime minster the power to bypass parliament . in many ways similar to your presidential executive powers . However in the UK these powers are open to be challenged as they have been here and the high court has taken the view to not support the governments view point .
this will now be interpreted by a supreme court judge as the government is appealing .
in the scheme of things it means nothing as a large potion of MPâs have already said they would not be prepared to go against the will of the people .
In the scheme of things this makes early election more likely.
In the scheme of things it is not the question of whether UK shall or shall not get out of the EU, but about the condition of the leave - which shall be subject to parliamentary review.
assumption is the mother of all fuck ups my friend . how stupid do you think the UK government is ? they wont put the deal before parliament . she will introduce legislation allowing her to trigger article 50 and remove the UK from the EU .
plain and simple . she will call a whip and use the Conservative majority to get such a law through Parliament . she isnt going to have a vote on the deal decided . she is having a vote on her power to trigger article 50 .
i would welcome an early election polls show labour would be completely crushed . labour would be stupid to make any such call before 2020 . all that would happen is the conservatives increasing their majority
It seems that âhard Brexitâ would be minority though.
Soft Brexit might have a good chance to win, but in reality soft Brexit is worse deal than no Brexit.
The same polls that said the remain vote would win in a landslide?
never in a landslide . it was neck and neck .
right now labour is polling at 27% and conservatives 44% thats quite a big fucking difference
