I donât know much about IT jobs market, but it seems to me that Warhorse is hiring for at least half of what would be a decent pay for the position in Prague. Kind of lowers my expectations of the final product.
I dont really think so, starting salary for a programmer usually is around 50k
Of course if you are a master coder and have tons of experience, you would expect something more.
But I am not sure that such a person would want to do this job.
Well I remember my friend years back in 2010 starting directly after school for 50K - in Brno, where the salaries are generally much lower.
Also, isnât it quite counterproductive to get someone with next to no experience for the final stage of development?
Well, in requirements there is mentioned that the person has to have some experience with making games.
I can imagine the salary being bit lower for game industry (at least here in CZ) than for, lets say, a programmer in a bank.
But I am no expert either.
Also I think that its a lot about gaining experience if the person wants to work in game industry, which is not that easy to get into anyway.
Yeah, it is âa bit lower than in CZâ, but Prague is a separate job market entirely (as regards wages).
I wouldnât let it worry you. Tons of experienced and well paid people in the gaming industry have been producing utter horse shit for the past 4-5 years.

Popularity doesnât equal quality in my book, especially when it comes to games. Bethesda is smart enough to know that they can shit out a half finished turd and people will still buy it.
Most large game devs are the same way now a days. I actually used to enjoy Assassins creed but after the third one ( i donât really consider black flag an assassins creed game) the quality just started dropping drastically.
