Yes he did not have any communication with the Russians WHILE he was involved with the Trump campaign, nor is there any evidence he discussed Trumps campaign. He spoke with over 25 different ambassadors in that year alone.
They were questioning weather or not the Trump camp was contacting Russia, not asking about his job on the armed services committee.

I put the emphasis on while, because he was not meeting with the Russian ambassador while he was apart of the Trump team. The context of the question is extremely important, it’s the difference between him committing purgery or not, since the question was asked in the context of him meeting with Russian officials in regards to the Trump campaign.
That’s why i had the emphasis. And as i predicted, nothing stuck, just another full retard moment from the left screaming about Russian spies.
The best part about all of this is, the media can’t decide weather Trump is a racist nationalist who believes in American supremacy over all, or a traitorous Russian spy who secretly hates America and is working to undermine it.
