Lack of any information on this aspect of police procedure here in the Czech Republic is something that genuinely worries me. On the other hand I would expect the situation to be resolved (one way or other) by the time police arrives.
Well the point of debate, if I understand it correctly, is whether a gun owner in rural community should go and engage perp conducting murder therein, or whether he should run-hide-tell.
With police taking taking unanimous decision it should be the latter.
