It really irritates me how people fail to differentiate between education and intelligence. An âeducatedâ person can easily be a drooling idiot who makes poor decisions. Not to mention most higher education now a days is nothing to brag about, there are plenty of exceptions of course, but most people just go to collage to get simple degrees, and party, and come back thinking theyâre some brilliant thinker, and have the knowledge of the world.
I know plenty of successful and intelligent people who did not go to collage, and the constant condescending snark from those who did is a large driver in the way people vote.
Thoughts? In my opinion this should be the response to a nation who is threatening to nuke you.
Just bought Hearts of Iron 4, playing as Germany, and have been steadily building up my forces around the Czechoslovakian border. Next time i start the game up, i will have my armies b-line it for Prague. 
Thereâs quite few high ranking former UK army officers living in the Czech Republic who cite ability to CC as primary motive to move here, I wonder if she will be next.
Ground forces would have very hard time breaching the defensive lines to Prague. You need to either go arial or through Austria (where the defenses were up, but the terrain is flat and thus harder to defend).
But the best bet is coordinated invasion with Poland and Hungary, that will completely overwhelm the defenses. Even if Czechoslovaks put also everyone including toddlers behind machineguns (of which the small army had several times more than the large German force), there wonât be enough manpower to cover the entire border area, not to mention lead any meaningful fight.
FYI do not forget that apart from the border line of heavy bunker defenses, there were three more lines of medium and light bunkers set up inland.

Unfortunately I do not believe the game takes the defense bunkers into place. They only have infantry and a few tank divisions guarding their borders.

You mother fuckers had way more men than i anticipated, and my invasion quickly turned into my units being surrounded and destroyed after i took Prague and Pilsen. Then the Czechoslovakian armies invaded the now defenceless Germany and took the entire country in a couple of weeks.
That would be entirely possible in reality. We even moved factories further to border with Slovakia in order to prep (CZ factory is still placed there today). Second main line of defense was 200 km east of Prague.
There were actual battle plans for this during defensive war, but they were all based on assumption of French army coming from the other direction. In reality we would probably focus on Dresden, Berlin, maybe Munich and then get to negotiating table.
That is quite said though. The bunker defenses were extremely effective as the Russians could find out when they were getting to Ostrava area and the bunkers were manned by Germans - note that they have been stripped out of most of its equipment during the war so they were essentially crippled, yet were main reason why Russian lost over 50.000 men in this small area.
Since we are at that let me bring up a few points:
. Czechoslovak army was fully mobilized with 1.25 million men, all that were in fighting units had up to date modern equipment
. morale was extremely high; ethnic German and Hungarian soldiers who were considered possibly problematic were moved in a way that they would not need to fight German/Hungarian army but that of the other foe (ethnic German officers actually proved to be very loyal during period of covert German war).
. Czechoslovak high staff were all soldiers with great experience from WW2; Czechoslovakia was exporting arms (including tanks) all around the world and sending officers to see them in action and report back on everything they learn from it
. between 1938 and 39, Germany army numbers rose from some 600.000 (at the time of threats of war to Czechoslovakia) to 1.5 million (during Polish operation) [Germany could theoretically raise larger numbers as long as they would be equipped with pitchforks, while for Czechoslovak the 1.25 was absolute top]
. most of them were ill equipped with outdated everything. This is best illustrated by the fact that when taking over Austria, German army wanted to make power display of its tanks driving from Germany to Vienna. Even though they did not face any obstacles on the road (let alone enemy fire), ALL of them broke down and had to be towed by horses in the end. This puts the fact that German invasion of Poland and France rested from 1/3 on Czechoslovak tanks into completely different perspective.
. German high staff did not agree with Hitler and they were very much against open war with Czechoslovakia (that is why Munich agreement became so important for Hitler, after this all opposition to his plans for silenced). Common soldiers morale was also not very high until successful takeover of Czechoslovakia and especially Poland with little losses (suddenly they are felt like superheroes ready to take over the world instead of being afraid of dying in the ditches the way their fathers did in WW1).
Czechoslovak equipment in German army was crucial for success in Polish and French campaigns, later as German factories started churning out new weapons it was used by axis client states (Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary) up until the end of war (with many particular pieces being produced for German forces also during the war, incl. Czechoslovak tank chassis which were used in a number of ways, incl. tank destroyers, or ZB 26 that remained in use by mountain battalions and SS). That is quite telling given that otherwise all countries changed to new equipment during the war (we essentially rearmed entirely in 1936-38).
Still, as I said, you need to get Britain and France supporting your invasion, then Poland and Hungary will join you militarily and its done.

Turns out i was incorrect, you can see several bunkers and AT guns along the border shared with Germany,
not sure if theyâre just cosmetic, or actually provide defensive bonusâs to the troops stationed near them.
There actually is an option for that, i can demand Sudetenland, but Iâm not sure if i can convince Poland and Hungary to join in, since who ever takes the land in that game gets it. I think iâll just have to build up my forces enough, my first crack at the invasion i only had 47 divisions, compared to the Czechs 49, and i assigned all my aircraft to close air support, which resulted in my losing air superiority quite quickly.

ermmm no im pretty sure the US could beat North Korea . although south korea would have a very rough ride in the process 
No doubt it would be a devastating war, even if we were able to nullify their nuclear abilities before they could use them. But the only way North Korea would have a shot at wining a war in that region with South Korea and the U.S would be if China sided with them, but they seem to have no interest in doing so.
Highly doubt we would actually get involved in a land war either way, we would probably just use a fuck ton of missile strikes to try and decapitate their nuclear arsenal and leadership. China might even do something about North Korea if they really do try something.
But if we wanted to we could flatten them in a matter of minutes with missiles alone.
